Commercial Description:
This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. ’Course there’s always the masochists...

Been waiting a long time to try this beer and it was well worth it. Pours a slightly murky and thick deep amber color creating a creamy and dense off-white head. Head retention was a bit weak with only some spotty foam and little lacing. Just fantastic complex aromas of balanced malt and hop contributions with notes of dark roasted caramels, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, citrus rinds and spice. Palate was perfect; big, full, round and smooth. Very fine carbonation bubbles keep the beer velvety slick. Flavor is just immense and rich with a nice balance struck with the sweet malts and hoppy bitterness. Flavors start out with notes of sweet dark brown sugar, raisin, caramel and toffee. Gradually slides into a medium - bitter hop contribution with crisp, fresh notes of grapefruit, orange and pine. Alcohol is fairly muscular but not hot or intrusive. Just a FANTASTIC brew in all aspects.

Pours clear, amber-brown, with a thin tan head, good lacing. Smells of molasses, fig, caramel, pine and grapefruit. Thick but crisp body. Tons of hops, tastes of alcohol, grapefruit, plum and spice. Very bitter, and a lasting aftertaste.

22 oz. bomber poured into a pint glass. Pours an opaque, amber-brown color with a foamy off-white head that diminishes to a thin layer but lasts throughout. Good lacing. Aroma is a strong malty sweetness, some caramel, and noticeably hoppy. Flavor starts off with a strong, sweet caramel maltiness followed by a grapefruity hop bitterness that carries long into the finish. Spicy. Slightly warm. Very full bodied..

This is one amazing beer. I got the 101.4 fl oz bottle. That’s right, 3 Quarts and 5.4 oz. Look - Has a great cloudy amber color to it with a beautiful amber/tanish cream. Smell - Fruity, Alcohol smell def. Amazing, like heaven. Taste - Has an extra bitter taste def.Has a big alcohol taste but fruity and sweet also. Amazing. That’s all I can say.

Pours amber with thick tan head. Aroma of caramel, floral hops, and alcohol. Taste is creamy, caramel malt and grapefruit hops. Nice, thick mouthfeel. Better than the regular Bastard. Excellent!

Pours a clear amber/brown with a minimal grey head. Aroma is lightly sweet with grapefruit, cherry, flowers and caramel. The flavor is floral hop, grapefruity hop, cherries, toffee, orange and light cinnamon. Medium body, very pleasant light creamy texture. Finishes very hoppy and dry with a warming alcohol burn.
