Commercial Description:
This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. ’Course there’s always the masochists...

This is a brown-colored ale with a hint of red and a small head. Good lacing. The flavor and body are both full. The high IBUs are countered with some solid malts.

This tasted nothing like Arrogant Bastard, which is a dark and smooth and sexy beer. This was just a typical barleywine style ale. Too sweet and medicinal for me.

Bomber. Missed this both the last two years. Huge lacerative nose, strong alcohol but that’s nothing compared to the massive citrus and pine hops, powerful gritty caramel malt, and warm lemony biscuits effusing from the neck. Woody, earthy, but all about the hops. Deep copper-mahogany pour with a thick, rocky tan head. Taste is punishingly bitter but moreso alcoholic. Malty, sticky, chewy caramel taste, earth and wood with an overabundance of pine but less resin and far less grapefruit and lychee. Lemon citrus and a little orange rind, very high-pitched fruty notes. Fresh leafy green hop leaves, sugars are pretty well done but still sweet (and the thing laces pretty well). Medium body, perfect for a session, helps to hide the 10.5%. Big mutha, worth splitting and enjoying once a year, but there are four or five from Stone I’d rather go to on a daily basis.

Pours a beautiful reddish-brown color with a huge chunky tan head that lasts and laces throughout. Aroma of citrus and pine hops, ripe fruit, sweet caramel malt and a whiff of alcohol. Flavor is much the same, very hoppy but not enough so to mask the other elements. Thick, full and a bit sticky on the palate. Lingring bitter finish. Seriously good stuff!

Dark amber/mahogany pour with an off-white head. Aroma is like a hop-bombed barley wine. The mouthfeel was very thick, maybe the most viscous beer I have ever drank. The flavor was the stereotypical Stone hops, caramel malts, and dark fruits.
