Commercial Description:
This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. ’Course there’s always the masochists...

2006 Keg on draught at Stone Bistro. Pours with a slightly murky brown body with a small, tight, off-white head that leaves great lacing. Aroma is complex, with currants, raisins, and light oxidation. Tastes is amazing, very rich and spicey with a really long duration, and a nice alcohol bite at the finish. A little bit of sherry and other oxidized notes. Lively bubbles.

22 oz Bomber-Pours a cloudy, reddish color w/no head but good lacing. Sweet aroma. Sweet, sticky, hoppy flavor w/a very rough edge, kind of woodsy & smokey w/traces of dark fruit. Oak barrell taste as well. Alcohol was very evedent, definately a sipper.

~Pours dark red with big creamy off white head. Some lacing. ~Citrus hop grapefruit aroma combined with a malty sweetness. ~Sweet flavor but extremely hoppy. Has hints of fruit in there and smokiness. ~Thick and sticky feel. Alcohol tinge present. ~Great flavor on this one! I cant believe it has 10% alc. Definetly one I will enjoy again. The back of the bottle gets harder and harder to read with each sip.

On Tap at Bier Tasting event at Boston’s Bistro & Pub in Dayton. This is just a more hard hitting version of the original bastard. Tastes like an epic battle between malt and hops, both struggling for control of your taste buds. What the hell just happened in my mouth?

A lot of malt and molasses in the aroma touched lightly with hops. Very smooth sweet malt with a small bitter finish going down. Some alcohol is apparent towards the end.

Bottle, 2007 release. Pours a hazy, copper-red body with thin yellow-white head. Aroma of hops, caramel malts, and some fruit. Thick mouthfeel with a complex profile of flavors: grapefruit hops, caramel malts, molasses, citrus, and brown sugar. Green floral hops finish with a slight alcohol and aspirin aftertaste.

Huge light brown head, that lasts a long time. Aroma - heavy malt, dark bread, light hops, resin, and dough. Also allspice and pepper.Initial flavor is sweet and moderately acidic. Can really taste the alcohol. This was good, but not great. I have a few others that I’ll keep for a year or so to see what happens.

22 oz. bottle. 2007 vintage. Pours a dark, leather color. Small, thin white head. Aroma of dark fruits, molasses, citrus hops. Very thick mouthfeel. Flavor is a wonderful explosion of hop resin, raisins, caramel malt. Long bitter finish with strong warming alcohol notes. Outstanding beer, wish we could get it in Atlanta.
