Commercial Description:
This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. ’Course there’s always the masochists...

From a 22 oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with frothy white head. Aromas of piney hops, some caramel malts, and brown sugar. Taste is big. This is definetely the big brother to the arrogant bastard or at least his evil twin. Big hops and big malts hits your taste buds. Great mouthfeel, bitter dry finish, and some warmth from the alcohol.

Beautiful looking beer. Big bold flavor. A little to strong on the aftertaste. A serious sipping beer. Noe that I know what to expect my next time around with this brew will be even more pleasurable.

From a 22oz. bottle--Poured a deep brown-amber body with a one-finger whitish head. Thick, cloudy, sweet, and sticky. Lots of hops and gripping sugars. Full-bodied might be an understatement. This beer is an asault on the palate. Finishes quite bitter. Aptly named brew!

Great beer for the hop heads. Of course a big bottle at 10% without someone to share it with is a bit much. Stone has a wonderful knack of using the best qualities of yeastiness and caramel malt to lead you into a hop attack. A full beer with great bitterness.

Bottle. Moderate aromas all around, roasted, nutty and caramel for the malt, orange and a little orange for the hops, dough and earth for the yeast, with raisin, cherry, toffee, brown sugar and alcohol in the background. head is creamy with some larger bubbles, off-white, with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is almost clear and reddish brown. Flavor is moderately sweet and lightly acidic to start, then the long finish is lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium to full, creamy bordering on syrupy, and has a soft carbonation. It finishes with a nice alcohol burn. One of the best tasting beers I’ve ever tried. Superb.

(bottle from AJ’s Glendale, AZ-2007 release): Pours a reddish brown color body, clearish. Big tan head, lasting. Sweet caramel aroma, not as hoppy as the original. Somewhat grapey, effervescent. Caramel taste, not as hoppy. Sweet & malty. Caustic taste, some hops. Dry.
