SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jan 7, 2008 The beer was copper with some plum and had a head that dissipated quickly. The nose showed sweet caramal, plum, stewing raisins, spice and orange. In the mouth it was medium to full-bodied with good malt richness with balancing hops. The palate was not as dilineated as the nose and showed more chocolate and coffee than the nose. It was also sweeter as the malt showed stronger. This should age well but is great now if in the mood for a sweet malty beer. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jan 7, 2008 Best word to describe this one is probably AGGRESSIVE. Everything about this beer is BIG...from the enormous malt and hop aroma to the billowing head that is perched high above the beer itself. It rich mahogany glow and buttery mouthfeel makes this a clear favorite amongst beer enthusiasts...CHEERS!!! unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Jan 7, 2008 22oz bottle. Red amber, medium haze. Tan head. Big aroma of the greatest beer ever made! Big malts, sticky sweet. Pleasant hop bitterness. This is a big beer. Yellow beer is for wussies! This beer is not for the faint hearted. MisterSparty (3), Lansing, Michigan, USA does not count Jan 7, 2008 Bottle - pours deep mahogany with tan head and beautiful lace. Nose was sweet and inviting, citrusy with maybe even a hint of cherry. Very smooth and creamy. Front end is sweet and malty, but back end is very hoppy and spicy, and the flavors transition very seamlessly. Clean with a somewhat dry finish. An absolute blast to drink, and an experience in itself. Definitely made for the serious beer drinker. tomciccateri (496), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Jan 7, 2008 Bottle - clear beep mahogany color with lasting tan head and lace. Initial hop aroma. Medium body with gripping hop bitterness. Big malty flavor matched with building hop flavors. Creamy mouthfeel. Rich flavors blend well and finish clean and slightly dry. NJBeerman013 (768), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Jan 6, 2008 Bomber. Call me a masochist, but I can’t get enough hops. Hoppier, Maltier, and all around bigger than the Arrogant Bastard. Delicious. lampeno420 (321), Zeeland, Michigan, USA Jan 6, 2008 I love stone, and this is no different. Drank next to the regular Arrogant Bastard, and this is a little better in every way. Just seemed like everything was a little more pronounced in this than the original. Stronger malts, better stronger hops and nice and sweet. I need to get a few of these. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Jan 5, 2008 Bottle. Very strong aromas of roasted malt, pine and perhaps citrus. Luminous mahogany color (under halogen) with a tannish head that went up and down quite quickly. Medium to full body with very smooth carbonation. The flavor starts very malty, but there is an awful lot of hop to nearly balance it. The finish is rather sweet, but the hop continues to build. There’s a lot of malt and hop, but it could stand more bitter. Heat was hardly noticeable, and didn’t interfere with the flavor.
