BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Jan 5, 2008 From bottle (Courtesy secret santa) : Pours a dark, tough to see through brown color with some red highlights, not a very impressive head, and what it does have dies pretty quick, but leaves a nice offwhite ring around the edges. Aroma seems a little faint, but once i finally get a whiff, its pretty good. Sweet malts, some hints of sweet fruits too, and small amounts of hops present themselves. Taste is very interesting.....but i really like it! Sweet on the outset, then turns very hoppy. The end is again very sweet and some alcohol, like a barleywine, but like Zinister said, still very drinkable. Aftertaste is very hoppy and has a slight alcohol burn as it goes down. Nice full body on this one, it is quite nice to sip on. Zinister (1198), Houston, Texas, USA Jan 5, 2008 Bottle from South Bay D&L. Pours a dirty, mean reddish brown. Strong sweet malt and hops on the nose. Flavor is very hoppy and full bodied with a sweetness bordering on barley wine...but is very drinkable. Ornery little beer that is right up my alley. undsioux7 (553), Cologne, Minnesota, USA Jan 5, 2008 Pours a medium amber with smallish head. Sweet aroma of caramel and hops. Strong bitterness.

Strong bitterness. jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA Jan 4, 2008 too much bluster and bravado on the bottle. my local micro brew produces much hoppier beers on a daily basis, and doesn’t feel the need to insult my manhood. good beer, fairly well balanced, but definately does not live up to the hype... Thprovider (24), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Dec 31, 2007 For all the machismo on the bottle, this was a disappointing effort. Poured a copper/caramel with little head. Too sweet and sugary for my palate. Hops and malt as expected. darn1207 (528), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Dec 31, 2007 2007 release - 22oz from
Stone bistro. darkish auburn color with little head. hoppy, hoppy aroma. big maltiness, big bitterness, long finish -- little acidic for me. but a pretty great sipping beer overall. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 31, 2007 Bomber from 2006. Poured a red amber with a relatively thick head. Sweet smell of caramel and some fruit. Since the beer is over a year old a lot of the hop flavor and smell has disappeared and I didn’t think it was as good without that obviously. The beer tasted surprisingly sweet.
