COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. ’Course there’s always the masochists...

Pours with lots of soapy foam head. Actually smells sweet to me. Taste is very malty with bitter and caramel on the end. This one starts off too sweet and malty for me but then the bitterness kicks in a good way with a twinge of caramel on the end which is strange but good too.

This brew is for those who thought Stone couldn’t improve on their Arrogant Bastard Ale. They can, and they did - and absolutely superb beer (by any reckoning).

Got a new TV today. Nothing fancy but when you've eaten ground chuck for almost a decade a flat iron tastes like manna from Heaven.

Flaska hemma. Bärnstensfärgad och lagom grumligt trögflytande med en maltighet och beska. Mycket angenäm liten sak. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy dark amber pour on draft at Republic. Thick off white head. Malty nose. Big sweet taste, lots of hops and a big bitterness in the finish. Really nice. Big and kick ass for sure.

Bottle from systembolaget enjoyed at home. Pours dark ruby red with a nice head that dissapear quickly. Smells heavy. Tastes heavy malty, heavy alcohol balanced bitter.

Tap. Bold and flavorful malt front with a noticeable hop finish that is not overly bitter. Spicy and strong flavor.

Almost like an unsweetened barleywine. Strong malt flavor. Some bitterness. Strong alcohol heat. Good.

2009 Bomber - Maple ruby pour with off white head. Nose and taste are malt bombs with plenty of dark fruit, sweet malt, and raisins. Some residual hop bitterness present. This stuff ages real well as evidenced by this 5 year old bottle. If it were a little sweeter I would have thought it was a BW. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ah, Stone descriptions: the Steely Dan liner notes of beer.

Tap. Orangish amber with a small pale beige head that lasts well. Aroma of very ripe apricots, vanilla, mandarins, grapefruit. Just short of syrupy. Sweet hay and apricot, grapefruit, pine, kumquat, a little pepper. Main finish is brief, then grapefruit and pine linger. Compressed flavours but punchy hops - sweetness doesn’t really get in the way. Unsubtle but good.

Bottle. Dark clear ruby with a 1 finger off white head. Aroma is melted Jolly Rancher, burnt caramel and slightly plasticky. Taste follows suit but adds some floral hops and slight alcohol burn. Caramel/butterscotch takes center stage. Big sticky mouthfeel. Certainly big.
