COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. ’Course there’s always the masochists...

Pours a slightly cloudy amber with an off white head. Smells hopy, earthy and malty. Nice malt body with hints of vanilla and caramel, followed by a slight floral/pine taste, then finishes cleanly with a citrus taste. Hop level is medium-high. Great well rounded beer, if you?re into malty beers with some nice hops behind it this is a great choice.

Draft. A hugely malt forward nose, I can smell the diabetes. Moderately to aggressive hop bitterness with a full bodied chewiness. Solid barley wine kind of beer.

Leicht trübes orange goldenes Bier mit einer geringen leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, reifes Obst, Karamell, Vanille. Geschmack alkoholisch, sehr malzig, Vanille, leicht holzig.

Bottle (2014): clear, deep copper red with a light head and good lace. Huge malty lift. Some fruit and huge caramel. Very intense. Very clean. Only really one dimension but a great example. Off dry to slightly sweet, not sour, high bitterness that’s balanced and it is hot. The palate is very fruit and intense. Great balance and flavor. Figs, raisin, fruit cake, caramel and dry spice. This is a massive beer but a great drink. I love the style.

Fantastic molasses and brown sugar sweetness that elevates it above the standard Arrogant Bastard.

Pours a dark chestnut with red hues, almost clear and with off-white head. Complex aroma with roasted almonds, herbs and big roasted maltiness. There’s a concentrated scent of whipped cream and with some wet wool in the background. Full bodied palate, big bitterness with a medicinal quality like Underberg herb liqueur. The finish is long with that medicinal bitterness on the back of the tongue.

It’s a beautiful pour, with dark amber color and thick beige head that stays with the brew. Nose is resinous and First sip is surprisingly low key in alcohol. This is a 2014 bottle. Sweet, malty start with a bright hop finish. It’s not as clean on the palate, which I enjoy. After a few sips, it is almost the same affect as chewing on a hop flower. Those flavors linger! Great strong beer. For the alcohol, it is easy to drink. Plan so age a second bottle to test against next couple years.

650ml bottle enjoyed @ my vacation apartment. Pours cloudy dark ruby with a lasting beige head. Aroma is malt, herbs, raisins, alcohol, caramel and fruits. Flavour is bitter. Full bodied, thick texture, average carbonation. Finish is resinous and bready malt.

How have I never rated this? Bomber. Deep amber with a beige head. Huge hops and malts in the aroma. Big complex fruit pretty much runs the gamut. The flavor is exactly the same. Complex and big fruit. Huge malts, too. Some spices and caramel. Brown sugar, harshness, alcohol, and big bitterness. My taste buds are being assaulted!

Pours a dark brown with a thick beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, fruity with some hops and spices. Taste is high sweet leading to dry bitter finish. Excellent!
