Thin head, but still a great pour. Dark amber and cloudd in appearance. The taste is the amazing part, though. It is four flavors attacking you at the same time. Ends with the best bitter taste I’ve experienced. Great beer!!! Had a very nice clear caramel color to it and a strong aroma giving a hint of the flavors to come. As one rater mentioned before, it does leave the mouth feeling quite dehydrated but thats not surprising with a 10% alcohol beer. unclemattie (2447), Georgia, USA

The malts and hops are very well balanced. There is a slight alcohol finish. The body is full with a creamy and syrupy texture along with soft carbonation. rochioli1965 (15), USA

Flavor: Hop flavor is strong and complex, High bitterness, although the malt backbone generally supports the strong hop character and provide the best balance. A clean, smooth alcohol flavor is present. Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium-light to medium-full body. Smooth alcohol warming.
Overall Impression: An intensely hoppy, very strong pale ale without the big maltiness and/or deeper malt flavors of an American barleywine. Strongly hopped, but malt balasnced andrewp1286 (2), new brunswick, New Jersey, USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Best beer, incredible for the ABV is is the smoothest thing you’ll ever taste
