Commercial Description:
This is a lacerative muther of a beer. The evil big brother of Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is strongly suggested you stay far, far away from this beer. Those foolish enough to venture close enough to taste will experience a punishingly unforgiving assault on the palate. ’Course there’s always the masochists...

well worth the kudos. It is a great beer. The aroma is sweet and faint. Thin head, but still a great pour. Dark amber and cloudd in appearance. The taste is the amazing part, though. It is four flavors attacking you at the same time. Ends with the best bitter taste I’ve experienced. Great beer!!!

beer that can do no wrong, drink this beer in the czech manner: pour into a snifer, inhale deeply, sip, have beautiful, loving woman nearby, then inhale deeply from her hair,,, will add to the experience,,,,,,

Had a friend bring be a 3 Litre of DB for Super Bowl weekend. It didn’t last one day! Another huge beer by Stone, actually easier to drink than Arrogant Bastard.......

This beer was a bit confusing for my palate as it had an initially sweet taste to it with a bitter kick at the end. Had a very nice clear caramel color to it and a strong aroma giving a hint of the flavors to come. As one rater mentioned before, it does leave the mouth feeling quite dehydrated but thats not surprising with a 10% alcohol beer.

22oz bottle. Red amber, medium haze. Tan head. Big aroma of the greatest beer ever made! Big malts, sticky sweet. Pleasant hop bitterness. This is a big beer. Yellow beer is for wussies! This beer is not for the faint hearted.

Heavy toasted caramel malt flavor. Very bitter and tons of citrusy hop flavor. The malts and hops are very well balanced. There is a slight alcohol finish. The body is full with a creamy and syrupy texture along with soft carbonation.

Aroma: A prominent to intense hop aromaAppearance: Color medium reddish copper;clear, Good head stand Flavor: Hop flavor is strong and complex, High bitterness, although the malt backbone generally supports the strong hop character and provide the best balance. A clean, smooth alcohol flavor is present. Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium-light to medium-full body. Smooth alcohol warming. Overall Impression: An intensely hoppy, very strong pale ale without the big maltiness and/or deeper malt flavors of an American barleywine. Strongly hopped, but malt balasnced
