A fine english pale ale. The english make these much better than the rip-off american microbrewers. A perfect balance of hops and malt, bring about a fine and delicate fruit-flavored bouquet. Delicate flavor with nice hint of bitter on aftertaste. Good color. Very nice beer.

Bottled. Amber colour, moderate head and condition. Faintly fruity nose. Hints of grain, fruity malt and good hop flavour in the mouth and a caramel and hop bitter finish.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2005 Initially denoting the finest ale the brewery produced, two chalk diamonds were drawn on the casks of select ales. Thus, this beer’s moniker was born. Nowadays, 125 years after its creation, Double Diamond seems to still be a fine product, worthy of a little chalk. Though hard to find in the US, this beer merits seeking out for its attractive copper hue and enjoyable taste. Only slightly hopped and as good as other quality UK ales. Nice as it warms up, too.

Just like a dirty single mum, it gives great head! Smells really strong (sweetness and alcohol). Dark/golden brown colour (a bit like mock tudor). Very bitter tasting, with a funny palate. Its a grower.

A nice looking nitro-head, shaving cream, cool looking color. Pretty boring really. Not bad but not really good.

Had this on tap, not a bad English pale ale but not great. Ok to drink in bulk, has a sweet caramel/malt flavour and a medium bitter finish.

Nice color, strong foam, sheets rather laces. Flavor is pretty weak as is the carbination. It’s alright for a steady drinking, but doesn’t have as strong a flavor that I would like.
