Growler shared with Angeloregon.... Poured reddish amber with a thin, lacy head. Beer was floral and well balanced. Caramel notes, very creamy and smooth. Very malty and not much going with the yeast. Dark fruits came through in the finish.

On tap. Great pour, deep red, off-white head. Great clarity. Nose is big malt forward, chocolate, cherry, berries, caramel, plum. Cloying sweetness on the palate, needed some sugar to lighten up the body, sort of sticky and thick like syrup. The spiciness of the yeast didn’t really pull off that dry spicy finish that I was looking for.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a deep, dark brown with almost zero head and minimal lacing. Aroma of yeast, clove, cardamom, almonds and light pepper. Flavor was a nice mixture of yeast, caramel malt and spice with a hint of almonds mixed in. A very unique beer from one of the best breweries working in Oregon today.
