Tap @ Brewpub: Yellow, clear, nose of honey and alcohol, thin and light with some clean light koji or fruit, can’t tell. The flavor is chalky and herbal, coriander, yeast and funk. Odd, I can’t drink much of this.

Pours a lightly hazy golden color. Nose of belgian yeast esters, pale malt, and slight grape note. The grape thing came through in the flavor also, like they made a kolsch and fermented it with a belgian yeast strain. The alcohol really showed in the flavor, taking over a bit, an d the malts just didn’t do it for me.

On tap at the BP. Nearly clear golden with a thin ring of white head. Trace of lacing. Very light malt aroma and a little wheaty loke an american hef. Flavor is clearly belgian but a sloght soapt twang that detracts a bit. Light body and soft carbonation. Thw ABV co.es throigh a bit but seems balanced.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2008 Hazy glowing golden-orange straw with colored. White foamy head well laced. Soapy bready nose with a sweet complex flavor. Yeasty and warming. Summer’s strong ale is here!

Draft at Concordia: Pours a cloudy golden yellow color with small white head. Somewhat soft grain and perhaps wheat in the aroma, belgian yeast, clove notes, candi sugar. Flavor is medium bodied with a nice grainy wheaty quality, herbal qualities throughout, a little bit of citrus and hops in the flavor. Some subtle clove notes. Alcohol is well hidden. Reminds me of a double strength version of their Kolsch. Very good.
