dark purple pour with a beet colored head that dies in seconds. tingly vinegar-like acidity that’s quenching and quaffable with the tart but naturally sweet black cherry character (same with the nose but much softer). low carbonation but high acid makes up for it and supports the light body. fruit appears natural front to back, and has a distinct overripe black cherry pulp flavor. overall it’s and extremely delicious fruit presentation with the right balance of carbonation and acid for the body.

Dark red in color, clear with a thin head. Lots of yeast and Brett aroma, Sour, fruity and tart. This was a very nice big sour beer.

Tap at the brewery. Deep dark red pour with no head. Taste of tart cherry, chocolate and vinegar tartness. Very bretty vinegar aroma with lots of sweet cherries popping through. Smooth, yet sour, with just a touch of mouth puckering tartness. Well made brew.

Massive sour cherry aroma. A deep opaque cranberry color with no head. Puckering sourness begins and the tang lingers. Finish is dry. Thin, almost watery mouthfeel with little carbonation. Tends to be a little much after a few sips but an interesting sour that does justice to the cherries.

Tap @ the Double Mountain Tasting Room... Poured deep brown with red/pink highlights and a pink head that dissipated immediately. Aroma had sour fruit, dark black cherries, and brown sugar. Flavors of candied sugars, plump tart fruit, black cherries, sour and vinegar that created a puckering quality. Malts were there and created a nice graininess, oak and vanilla tannins. Finished with a wild yeast funkiness that gave off notes of chlorine and sulfur.
