This beer is my favorite beer of the OBF. Strong and rich, there is no way one tastes the 11% ABV. Very balanced flavor with no one element taking the spotlight. It's a truly spectacular beer.

Tap at OBF. Pours dark brown with beige bubbles. Aromas of dark fruit and Belgian yeast/spice. Full bodied. Flavor is dark fruit, lighter fruity esters, treacle and arguably kandi. There’s no heat. It’s high on sweet but there’s lots of other things countering that. Sort of a baltic porter that went Belgian. Very tasty.

Rusty brown with a thin white head. Aroma of caramelized sugar and yeast. Taste is surprisingly less sweet, more fruit than refined sugar.

Draft at uber. Pours an opaque dark brown with a loose and creamy tan head. Big sweet caramel, dates, and vanilla nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Caramel date and vanilla mid palate. Not a lot of complexity to the flavor, especially given the abv.

On tap at Uber Tavern, pours a cloudy reddish dark brown with a big beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, Belgian yeast and hops. Flavour of sweet candied sugar, Belgian yeast, and caramel malt, with almost a peppery note in there. A bit cloyingly sweet, but quite good.
