COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This big, glowing, powerful IPA is packed with assertive Northwest hops that are floral, citrusy and resinous. A healthy dose of Munich malt helps to provide backbone and balance against the hoppy attack. The result? Explosive! Brewed with Gambrinus Organic Pilsner and Munich Malt, Centennial and Cascade hops. 7.0% ABV, 75 BU

Tap in Portland at that pizza place. Great smell and pour. Good palate taste and medium hop taste. Not too aggressive but still a decent ipa. Would drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Straight forward decent IPA. See the ABV and I would have expected more. Gold. Resiny. Hoppy. Good with pizza.

Cask @ Red Hot. Clear, yellow-orange pour with a short white head and moderate lace. Very mild nose - some malt, some light hops. Medium body and light carbonation. Pine hops, medium toast, tea and some light citrus. Over-rated, IMO, this is a fairly average IPA with a malt bill balanced too much towards the dark side. May be better on tap than on hand pull, but I don’t recall it so.

Cask at Venti’s South. Not much to this India Pale Ale. Balanced but weak. Flavors of hops, caramel, citrus and pine, but none of them very strong. Finish has some bitterness to it.

Draft at ncbc. Pours a murky dark amber with hazy golden edges. Loose scattered white film. Unbelievably subdued nose. A little caramel and pine maybe. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toast and caramel on the mid palate but not much happening here really.

DRAFT last night at Belmont Inn in Portland....second good beer tonight from Double Mountain....pours a beautiful orange with nice white head. Excellent balance of hops...lots of ’em....with enough malt to take the edge off and provide for a nice body. Another one I wish we could get in IL.

Clear amber color, small steady white head, some lace. Dish cleanser-citrus aroma. Medium-bodied. Leafy hoppy, woody flavor. Moderate bitterness. Feels less than 7.5%.

Comes out of the tap a clear sumptuous amber with a decent cream-white head. Crisp, fruity, hoppy aroma invites a taste. Richly hoppy flavor has an undertone of apple and pear and a fair amount of bitterness. Texture is smooth and subtly tingly.

Tap at the Hawthorne Hophouse. Pours a hazy orange amber with a thin white head. Big citrus and pine hop bitterness balanced by a nice malt backbone with touches of caramel in the taste. Aroma is loads of citrus hops, very pungent and fresh. Great big ipa, yet balanced and drinkable. A real winner from a great new brewery.

Pours cloudy yellow with a modest off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a smooth caramel malt flavor with a subtle hop bitterness. Very balanced.
