Tap at the brewery. Deep copper pour with an off white head. Huge citrus hop bomb of a nose with a touch of toffee. Resiny piney hops in the taste with a nice caramel backbone. Really tasty brew.

On tap at Hotel Modera, Portland. Pours cloudy reddish amber with a rich off-white head and a toffee aroma. There is a hearty malt flavor, an interesting hop profile and an eccentric yeast presence that produces a tingling sensation. It is slightly bitter, very dry and quite tasty.

Pungent, piney hops on the aroma. Slight tropical fruit. Hazy, caramel colored with no head. Strong, dang pitchy hops start, malt gentley slides in for the finish. Fair amount of bitterness. Medium light body. Tastes like an IPA as malt doesn’t stand up to the hops but still nice.

On tap at Nel Centro. Pours a pretty red amber in color. Aroma wafts of piney and berry...with a pronounced fruitiness. Well-balanced caramel flavors blend well with a touch of diacetyl and controlled fruity esthers. Sherry-like but in a good way.

(Draught) Sampled at GCBF 2010 on September 11, 2010. Red mahogany in colour. Dissipated head. Good Irish malt in the nose with a high alcohol. Flavour is well off. Eggy. Tart raspberries and hoppy citrus. Very poor.

A reddish copper ale with a thick big bubbled off white head. In aroma, a rather nice herbaceous hops and caramel malt, and a bit of catnip. In mouth, a rich and malty ale with rich nice and smooth hops, floral and distinguished, rather British, quite good. On tap at Horse Brass Pub, Sept. 4 2010.

Cask @ Brouwers Cafe. Hazy amber pour, pink/tan head leaves a moderate lace. Grassy/kaya and flowery aroma, balanced towards hops but the sweet malt isn’t overwhelmed. Medium body with fine carbonation. Earthy towards the dry finish.
