Draft at the brewpub. An unclear amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with hoppy notes of grass and light notes of flowers. The flavor is sweet malty with floral hoppy notes combined with notes of grapefruit.

india red? slippery categories-- cant be "strong" coz of the alcohol. Full-on aroma, floral, resiny, caramel, distant citrus. clear medium brown with quick, lacy head (on draft at mickey finns). clean in the mouth (surprisingly not oily as the resin of the hops would imply) with light carbonation. flavors of pine, caramel, lemon-sugar, old plum. i partiuclarly like the blanace of malt sweet, hop bitter and hop resin.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 bitbucket (2112) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - DEC 14, 2007
Yet another rating from the pile of crumpled notes. Pours hazy copper with a lacy white head. Light body and medium carbonation. Fruit and rye aroma, lightly sour rye and hoppy finish.

Tap @ Brewery: Caramel color, light head and lacing. Nose of dusty simcoe and pine, a more resinously light bitter body and a creamy chewy tail than I expected. Lots of dry caramel flavor, good and rustic.

Draft at the 3 Rivers Restaurant in Hood River - Poured a beautiful ruby red in color with a bright white head. Aroma was of caramel and brown sugar with a nice mix of piney hops. Flavor was of roasty malts and caramel and quite strong of resinous pine hops. Finish is long and bitter. Very good IRA...
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DrBayern (1139) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - JUL 28, 2007
Draft at Nora’s Fish House in Hood River, OR. At first, I thought this was a misprint on the menu, listed as Double Mountain IRA. The waiter was knowledgeable about beer, and explained it, as well as recommended it as one of his favorites. I was favorable impressed. The deep coppery amber body resided under a creamy light beige head. Aroma was a fresh piney hop and brown sugar combination, with the hops being front and center. Very smooth with a richness and certain chewiness was also notable. Well balanced, and a nice spicy bitterness in the finish was also spot on.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - JUL 21, 2007
Hazy amber colour. Slightly spicy caramel and brown sugar nose with a hint of hop herbaceousness. Very quaffable - heck, slightly watery - with a balanced Simcoe-toast-caramel character. Somehow I wish for more in this brew but that’s not to say I don’t like what’s there.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 2, 2007
First beer I ever tried from this brewery and what a delight. Poured an orange-red hue. deep and fruity. Subtle Rochefort yeast surprised me. Nothing like any Belgian I’ve had before. Bitter and bad ass!

Great new brewery in Hood River Oregon. This was my first beer from here. The IRA was a great India Red Ale. Has a very nice deep reddish color with a Belgian twist in the flavors. This IPA was actually with a fruity flavor. Deep hop flavors and a light fruitiness this was a great beer. Finishes dry with a strong flavor. Loved this beer. Great stuff can’t wait to try more from this place.
