Copper reddish color with a thick, foamy head. Complex hop and malt aroma. A bit of a caramel flavor? Very smooth and slightly sweet mixed with some nice hops bitterness. This is a very good beer.

Sampled from a day-old growler brought back from Oregon by my buddy John. Citrus orange/lemony hop aroma. Somewhat mild, though, without too much else happening. Moderately hazy amber body with a frothy, yellowish head present. Super citrus lemon hoppiness to start. Has a nice chewiness with some caramel malts in the middle. Finishes with mildly spicy, herbal , and lightly bitter finish. Very drinkable stuff. Nice.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BillKismet (2760) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 7, 2011
Deep apricot amber pulpy body with ring of head. Pleasant citrus-accented bitter hop nose. Nice bitter, but balanced body that falls between citruss and piny. Restrained and tasty. One of the few Double Mountain brews that really stood out.

Tap at the brewery. Deep copper pour with an off white head. Huge citrus hop bomb of a nose with a touch of toffee. Resiny piney hops in the taste with a nice caramel backbone. Really tasty brew.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 marcus (4054) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 29, 2011
On tap at Hotel Modera, Portland. Pours cloudy reddish amber with a rich off-white head and a toffee aroma. There is a hearty malt flavor, an interesting hop profile and an eccentric yeast presence that produces a tingling sensation. It is slightly bitter, very dry and quite tasty.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 28, 2011
Pungent, piney hops on the aroma. Slight tropical fruit. Hazy, caramel colored with no head. Strong, dang pitchy hops start, malt gentley slides in for the finish. Fair amount of bitterness. Medium light body. Tastes like an IPA as malt doesn’t stand up to the hops but still nice.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 22415brewery (246) - redmond, Washington, USA - JAN 10, 2011
On tap at Nel Centro. Pours a pretty red amber in color. Aroma wafts of piney and berry...with a pronounced fruitiness. Well-balanced caramel flavors blend well with a touch of diacetyl and controlled fruity esthers. Sherry-like but in a good way.
