2007: A sunrise trip to the Weathers hop farm outside Salem yielded us sackfuls of plump, picked-that-morning Crystal hops. This brew has fantastically juicy and mouth-coatingly resinous qualities, while remaining balanced and super-drinkable. Brewed with organic Pilsner Malt, imported crystal malts, and fresh Oregon hops.

2008: The folks at Weathers Farms supplied us with some beautiful Perle hops this year, which lent a more balanced aroma to our í08 effort. Matt chose to tweak this yearís brew with more malt and some Simcoe hops (dried, not fresh), which helped to make the beer bigger in all respects. A seriously heady beer! Brewed with organic Pilsner Malt, imported crystal malts, Simcoe and fresh Oregon Perle hops. 7.8% ABV, 70 BU

2014: This time of year is magical. The light gets long on the vines and the brewery starts working round the clock, keeping up with the fresh hops coming through the door. This yearís Killer Green again uses Brewerís Gold from Sodbuster Farms, and we packed over one hundred and fifty pounds of these babies per batch in various parts of the brewing process. Spicy pine, kind herb, and crisp fruit dominate the nose, and itís evened with a rounded, brioche malt body that compliments the profuse amount of hops used in this brew. ABV 7.5% 97 BU

Appearance was clear orangish gold with white diminishing creamy and finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are herbal, light pine and spices, soft orange with honey, pale sweetness. Taste are soft herbs and spices upfront gives way to honey sweet backing. Then smooth soft pine and orange backend. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with medium body, then lasting herbal, spicey balanced slightly drying finish. Overall an interesting fresh hop IPA, Northern Brewer hops are a strange flower.

Aroma is clove, slight earthiness, honey, roasted malts and passion fruit. Taste is sweet lightly roasted malts, honey and a nice deep hop profile that is an earthiness, passion fruit, clove, lemon grass, tart and slight funkiness. For the abv and rich hop profile, finishes remarkably smooth Appearance is a slightly hazy gold with a thin fluffy head with light lace that retains fairly well.

Growler fill from Growler Guys CDA. This is my Barbara Walters beer. Aroma is earthy, pine, very fresh. Pours slightly hazy orange with an off-white head. Taste is very much ripe dank sticky green bud, lightly bitter with a candy sweetness, a bit of a tang, and even a savoriness. The aroma is nice, but somewhat lackluster compared to the flavor, which is damn near perfect for style. Delicious stuff.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle, bottled on 9/22/15. Pours a light copper color with some cloudiness and a mostly white head. Minty pine aromas with some breadiness. Taste starts off malty with mint and pine flavors flowing in behind. Very fresh tasting. Some caramel notes with a mild, lingering bitterness on the end. Feel is moderately heavy with light carbonation. Overall very solid and fresh.

500ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus and herbs with some caramel notes. Taste is a citrus and herbal hop bitterness with a fruity and caramel malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation that pleases the palate. Not as hoppy as the 96 IBUís would suggest. Actually, a fairly easy drinking IPA that is well rounded and tasty. Recommended.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2015 2015 bottling. Amazing. I wonder how many reviews Iíve while listening to Ratt - Out of the Cellar... Full marks for aroma - thick and obvious, pungent, actual weed, dank basement, melon and maybe tangerine - that makes a wicked smelling smell of smells. Very tasty as well and Iím already annoyed that Iím doing a review instead of just sitting back sipping away while dealing with hard nipples. Mint and tangy, super dank, melon and sweet citrus orangy stuff, overall much more sharp when cold - now thereís a big soft batch of caramel for a bit more than just the base - however it is not sweet or overpowering. 2/3rds of the way to half power spice, very thick yet not syrupy. Slow sips for enjoyment and processing is the best way to hit this as it all turns into a big blob of whatever when I try to do a billion consecutive review sips. I think Iím beginning to turn and need to plow away at some of these brews much colder. Itís probably just my old, decaying body that just canít cope anymore. Excellent brew on different levels at different temperatures. That slow, bearded idiot Sean in BCís review bent me towards the purchase. Love.

ok, so I have this rated higher than Two Hearted and that is not going to happen even though I realize that Iím pretty sure 3.8 was on the low side. Then again, Iíve had it a handful of times and itís really good but never actually blew me away. Second and third and fourth and fifth and sixth bottle need purchasing to validate this.

VALIDATED. I think this is my new fave. The fridge is solid Killer Green.
