Excellent puffy head on this. A particularly essential-oily and nettly aroma. Definitely the best hop showcase I have had in a ’fresh hop’ beer all year. It ha a good body to it, creamy and tight.

My favorite fresh hop beer. Hop far & away! The savory freshness stays from begginning to end. Great kickoff ipa for fall. Had this on tap @ the bye&bye for double mtn. killer green release party. Good times!

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Tons of fresh hops in the aroma and flavor. Liked the light caramel flavoring and nice finish. This was a great fresh hopped beer.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (4566) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - OCT 10, 2010
Nose of caramel malts, fresh leafy hops, some dank herb, some tropical fruity notes underneath and light sweetness. Pours amber with a thin layer of bubbles and some decent sheets of lace. Leafy hop notes up front followed by medium sweet malt - mostly caramel, a touch of tea, more leafy hops, earthy and dank with a soft tropical note in the finish. Nice fresh bitterness lingers in the finish. Balanced and drinkable and moderately interesting.

Draft at Brouwers. Interesting big fresh hop .. maybe heaviest i’ve had. Rich orange, plain pour. Nose is wafting rich fresh hop oils. Body smacks of malting but finishes with a rush of hoppy juice, very floral, green, fresh. Green tea, herbs, veggies, forest. Heavy, like an impy fresh hop. Very interesting and unique, and takes getting used to. It grew on me
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Beardface (1497) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - OCT 14, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. Poured dark orange with a thick white head. This beer is the closest in both aroma and taste to marijuana that I’ve ever experienced. Not much balance to speak of, but it was still quite the experience to say the least.

Tap @ Concordia Ale House from their release party. Poured a burnt orange with an off-white head. Burnt sugars malts and hops on the nose. Well carbonated palate. The Belgian yeast really influence this beer with sweet herbs, squash-like qualities, and fruits. Not aggressive at all. Not as much as the fresh hop flavor I would hope for, but a lot of candy sweet malts and a very smooth finish.
