COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
2007: A sunrise trip to the Weathers hop farm outside Salem yielded us sackfuls of plump, picked-that-morning Crystal hops. This brew has fantastically juicy and mouth-coatingly resinous qualities, while remaining balanced and super-drinkable. Brewed with organic Pilsner Malt, imported crystal malts, and fresh Oregon hops.

2008: The folks at Weathers Farms supplied us with some beautiful Perle hops this year, which lent a more balanced aroma to our ’08 effort. Matt chose to tweak this year’s brew with more malt and some Simcoe hops (dried, not fresh), which helped to make the beer bigger in all respects. A seriously heady beer! Brewed with organic Pilsner Malt, imported crystal malts, Simcoe and fresh Oregon Perle hops. 7.8% ABV, 70 BU

2014: This time of year is magical. The light gets long on the vines and the brewery starts working round the clock, keeping up with the fresh hops coming through the door. This year’s Killer Green again uses Brewer’s Gold from Sodbuster Farms, and we packed over one hundred and fifty pounds of these babies per batch in various parts of the brewing process. Spicy pine, kind herb, and crisp fruit dominate the nose, and it’s evened with a rounded, brioche malt body that compliments the profuse amount of hops used in this brew. ABV 7.5% 97 BU

500 mL bottle pour. Pours a cloudy golden color with a fizzy patchy head. Fresh hops and citrus aroma. Really herbal flavor with a nice hop character. Has a cool minty finish. Very tasty beer. Enjoyed this.

red gold pour. Aroma of herbal woody hops. Tastes buttery pine, juniper, one note hops. slight tingly sweet resinous. Slick and thick palate. fulfills a hop fix, but not really all that exciting.

Bottle from the Tacoma food Co-op. Pours a hazy Amber color. Thin white head. Scent is a little malty, some hops. Taste is a little more hoppy. Pretty good beer.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark gold with moderate retentive head. Aromas of tropical fruit, pine, toffee, and toasted malts. Flavors of sweet malts (dough and toffee), light grass, pine and citrus. Smooth. Great balance for an IPA. Nicely done.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 10 oz
Cloudy dark amber color with small head. The aroma is strongly fruity; sweet oranges, mandarins, other citrus fruits and a touch of tropical fruits. Good body strength, not too thick, with lean mouthfeel; the malt flavor is good, with a caramel accent, but also a bit dusty; the hopping is strong and of quality, with plenty of fresh fruity character, and soft resins.
I’m a tad unimpressed by the dusty touch, but the hop job is really worthy.

On Tap at the River Room at Whole Foods Boise Hazy deep orange. Smal wispy off-white head. Very interesting sweet juicy fruity hop aroma and flavors. I can place it. Floral and like tangerine candy. Unique to me. Very fresh and bright and tasty. Really like this.

500 ml Bottle. Bronze colored with a sudsy layer of off-white head. Aroma blends tropical fruit, ripe citrus and hops oil with a bit of mint and pine resin. Taste is ruby red grapefruit, blood orange and resiny hops bitterness upfront followed by notes of pineapple and caramel malt. Medium-bodied mouthfeel with strong carbonation and a final dose of pine and ripe citrus in the finish. Definitely one of the better PNW style Fresh Hop IPA’s.

Pours a beautiful amber orange with white creamy head. Aromas of strong juicy orange with hints of pine and other earthy notes. Flavors are very complex. Hints of orange, mint, floral notes, and a slight trace of pine. Flavors jump out on the tongue. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle- Pours a very hazy golden with a one finger bone white head. Aroma is piney, citrus, candy, vegetal. The taste is smooth and creamy, moderate vegetal, but we are talking about fresh hops here, bone dry finish which i love, the more i drink it the more i like it, it’s like a burst of citrus in your mouth, then that very dry finish. Medium body and fairly high carbonation. Very tasty, of the two fresh hop Oregon IPA’s i had today, both being delicious, this has the edge, that citrus punch was just outstanding!
