COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
2007: A sunrise trip to the Weathers hop farm outside Salem yielded us sackfuls of plump, picked-that-morning Crystal hops. This brew has fantastically juicy and mouth-coatingly resinous qualities, while remaining balanced and super-drinkable. Brewed with organic Pilsner Malt, imported crystal malts, and fresh Oregon hops. 7% ABV, 60 IBU 2008: The folks at Weathers Farms supplied us with some beautiful Perle hops this year, which lent a more balanced aroma to our ’08 effort. Matt chose to tweak this year’s brew with more malt and some Simcoe hops (dried, not fresh), which helped to make the beer bigger in all respects. A seriously heady beer! Brewed with organic Pilsner Malt, imported crystal malts, Simcoe and fresh Oregon Perle hops. 7.8% ABV, 70 BU

Pours a beautiful amber orange with white creamy head. Aromas of strong juicy orange with hints of pine and other earthy notes. Flavors are very complex. Hints of orange, mint, floral notes, and a slight trace of pine. Flavors jump out on the tongue. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle- Pours a very hazy golden with a one finger bone white head. Aroma is piney, citrus, candy, vegetal. The taste is smooth and creamy, moderate vegetal, but we are talking about fresh hops here, bone dry finish which i love, the more i drink it the more i like it, it’s like a burst of citrus in your mouth, then that very dry finish. Medium body and fairly high carbonation. Very tasty, of the two fresh hop Oregon IPA’s i had today, both being delicious, this has the edge, that citrus punch was just outstanding!

500ml bottle bought from Lifesource in Salem OR $4.99 2014 7.5% alc. and a whopping 97 IBU Clear dark golden/orange coloured body with a great thick, rough and rocky off white head. Nice citrusy, pine like hops aromas dominate, there is a nice bit caramel malts but its hops we came for ! Taste more balanced with some toffeeish chewy malts ( almost English in style) poking up above the fresh citrus/spruce hops..its a battle all over the tongue! Nice solid mouthfeel//lovely long lasting fresh hop after taste. Lovely beer. But with the strong malts this is a Fresh Hop Imperial IPA!

Not my favorite IPA, but still really good, hop profile is slightly vegetative of fresh hop, but with some fruity, maybe tropical? but also resinous and slightly piney. I thought maybe kind of confused.

Vintage: 2013 Appearance: Translucent Orange; Medium Carbonation; Fluffy, off-white head; minimal lace Smell: Honey; orange rind; apple; hint of clove Taste: Apple and Clove Mouth-feel: Medium Body; Good carbonation level; Dry Finish Overall: This beer is horrible; I am willing to admit the possibility of a bad batch or bottle, but it was purchased cold from a reputable retailer… Just awful. Like an apple just smoked a clove cigarette.

Bottle:   Dirty amber, slighty hazy and fiery, moderate frothy off-white head, nice lacing.   Slightly dank nose, a little citrus, stale, muted a bit.   Has a musty quality to it.   Noticing quite a bit of tropical notes on the tongue.   Not all that bitter.   But again, tropical notes are a little musty and stale.   Tiz smooth, but not very bright.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Muted sweet hoppy finish, notes of musty tropical fruit and stale citrus peel.   Seems pretty dank overall.   Perhaps that’s why its called Killer Green?

16 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours hazy golden orange with thin creamy off white head. Aroma is light caramel malt and earthy hops with a weirdly pleasant minty herbal scent. Taste is crisp clean pale malt with big fresh hop flavors. Finishes bitter and not too sweet. Excellent fresh hop, not as floral as some but with nice earthy resinous flavor.

2013 version. Big fruit punch aroma. The taste is slightly bitter but what is most predominant is a big juicy concord grape taste. Really fresh too.

Draft @ GABF 2013. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy piney aroma. Fruity malty piney and very hoppy bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter piney finish.

Pours a clear copper color with a large white head. A sweet nose of Pils malt, some oranges. A nice sweet toasted flavor, some marmalade, lemon zest, light bitterness, lighter resinous simcoe. Quite smooth. Interesting brew. Clean and nice.
