A fresh hop red ale, pours the right color with a caramel and fruity body, hop notes are likened to dry hopping, something kind of floral and almost sweet for hop.

Bottle, labelled as Killer Red Fresh Hop. Vibrant amber with a dark beige head. Sweet, tropical, caramel, unrefined, fresh, peach; on the palate swings the other way to a pleasing bitterness at first, moderate+ carbonation, refreshing body, becomes a bit sweet and then jumps full onto a semi-dry sweetness.

16 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours dark orange amber with thick cream-colored head. Aroma is lightly toasted malts and earthy hops. Taste is medium caramel malt with a earthy, oaky hop finish. Has some light apple/pear notes in the hops too. Not bad, should really be called a fresh red ale. The malt body here is a little more tasty than the Killer Green, while that one had a more appealing hop balance. Fun to try next to each other and see the choices.

Love the regular IRA. This doesn’t have the same edge. Tastes similar to the Killer Green. That’s not a bad thing either. Has a little extra sweetness and minerality to it.

S: Grapefruit, pine, fresh cut grass, pineapples, pears, peaches, some candi sugar and light caramel malt. P: Clear amber red, with a thin tan head. T: Light grassy hops and pine. Light caramel malt and light tang towards the end. M: Silky with high to medium carbonation. O: I really like this one, I wish I would of picked up this one right away when my local store got it instead of about a month later. Will looking foward to this one next hop season.

Draught. Pours pale red with white head. Fruity hop aroma with slight sweaty note. Flavour has hop and malt in balance. Hop finish with more fruit, think it was pear.

Cool looking Germany style 50cl bottle pours with a clear copper body that supports a fairly tight tan head of foam. The aroma emits dirty socks, orange gummy bears, a touch of malt sweetened cranberry as well as a faint cracker sort of note well off in the background. The taste has smooth malts and sweetened cranberries to faint orange candy to start and then it gets quickly into some nice resiny hop bitterness. The bitter hops have a fruity edge as well as murmurs of dirty earthiness in the background. I like this. It’s different and tasty.

Sampled after Killer Green. Also mild mannered and surprisingly drinkable for the variety. All the notes are there in balance. Recommended. B+ ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle:   Fiery amber, thin to moderate foamy off-white head, nice lacing.   Faint unripened peach/apricot like nose up front, hoppy, slightly citrusy on the backside.   Bright fruity hoppiness up front, some peach/apricot as well as citrus bits.   Nice and hoppy but not biting, or overly bitter.   Some aspects of tea or tobacco leaves on the backside.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Soft hop bitterness, peach/apricot, citrus peel, pith, and tobacco and tea leaves on the finish.   Very smooth IPA.   Not terribly bright, but very well balanced with lots going on.   Enjoyable!
