COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Cologne, Germany, many a brewery produces a light-bodied ale with a delicate fruitiness and rounded maltiness, attributable to the unique yeast strain commonly used. Our Kölsch is unfiltered and more generously hopped than its German cousin. Brewed with Gambrinus Organic Pilsner and Munich malt and Perle hops. 5.2% ABV, 40 BU

Too light and even for a kolsch it lacks alot of flavour. Mostly a bland brew with a bright straw pour, soapy head of pure white. The aroma is so light and bit grassy and a pinch of noble hop spice. Almost nothing going on here.

Draft pour pint at Frankies pizza. Pours a cloudy pale yellow color with a nearly absent grain aroma. Extremely light flavor and body. Watery, and a bit of corn. Nice, cool, refreshing finish. Goes nicely on the hot days. I enjoy this.

Grassy hop aroma, which is out of style for a Kolsch. Pours a slightly hazy light straw with a thin white head. Crisp malt flavor, with a mild lingering bitterness. It doesn’t have the slight touch of fruit that I expect in a Kolsch. This comes across as more of a pilsener. Light bodied and easy drinking, but not a kolsch.

Sampled at the brewpub. Hazy gold. Minimal white foam. Lazy bubbles float up. Lemons and malts. Nice hops are dryly bitter abd fruity. Some Noble notes. Perfect on a hot day.

Growler - Cloudy hay colored beer. Dry floral and hay taste. Not a bad Kolsch with a good balance of hop and malt.

Hazy golden beer with a foamy white head that left some sticky lace on the glass. Soft nose of dusty grains with some lemon and a bit of Play-doh. Soft on the palate with some graininess, lemon cracker and lots of water. A bit of bitter grass in the finish. Not the cleanest kolsch I’ve had.

Pours a clear light copper color. Aroma and taste are some fruits and some light malts.

Not the best Kolsch ever, but it was a nice change of pace for the evening.

500ml bottle, with a cloudy honey gold hue, and a big Rocky, bubbly pillowy white head. Nice pineapple, pear, apple, blood orange fruity esters from the yeast used. With a good floral tropical fruit, leafy, citrus hop, lemon pie crust accent, and a bread dough, faint grainy pilsener, pale, toasted malt, faint apple sauce, subtle spicy note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a fruity, doughy, citrusy, bready yeast, subtle wheaty, faint honeyed pale, pilsener, toasted, munich malt character, with some pineapple, pear, citrus, apple skin, apple sauce, lemon pie crust, mild flowery citrusy, leafy hop, faint citrus tea leaf, subtle spicy lemongrass, lemon bread flavours leading towards a fruity dough yeastiness, lemon pie, crunchy bread, wheat, pale, pilsener maltiness, lingering grassy, citrus hop bitterness finish. Not your typical kolsch beer, but nevertheless a fruity, yeasty one.
