2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draft at the source. Hazy golden color, white edge head. Aroma of cigarette smoke from the guy sitting next to me. The beer itself is pepery straw. Taste is funky straw and black pepper.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to English pint, beer pours a hazy gold with a dense bright white head. Aroma is fresh cut grass, florals, slight zesty citrus, slight skunk, faint caramel and cheap pisswater lager smell. Those last four words said, it’s not strong and it’s about the subtleties. Anyway...taste is caramel, spices, citrus, pepper, slight mint, bitter herbal hops and other stuff. Palate is crisp, clean, perfect balance, nice co2, very nice to drink. Overall...a simple beer that pleases me greatly.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ Haven Gastropub. Clear golden pour with a white head. Decent bread and grain aromas. Some soapy hops, a light floral note, and lemon peel. There’s a weird bitter, grain husk flavor to this. Lemon, some soap, floral hops, and a decent sweetness. Some bread and cracker notes. Not a big fan.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark yellow color. Has a slight hop aroma with wheat back-up. The flavor is crisp and primarily wheat and malt driven. Good balance here. Hops are way in the background.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is lightly bready and slightly noble. Med body. Flavor is lightly bready with some earthiness. Maybe a little floral. Maybe not. Flavor is strong for the style. Better this way.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewery in Hood River. Light, grassy nose. Cloudy, very pale straw color. Initial is a bit raw / good grassy tingle in mid and then the hops come through strongly / finish is fairly clean. Thin body. Unflitered and somewhat high in hops for the style. Seems more like a pils, really. Okay.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Hazy gold body with a short white head. Lemony German hop aroma with pear and white grape esters, light dough, some calcium and some paper / starch notes. Sweet, bitter and toasty with noticeable grain husks and cooked corn kernel flavor. Medium to heavy bitterness with a light body and low acid. Potato starch and sweet corn finish. The lemon / citrus is nice, the sweetness too, but the pear and grape esters and husky grain quality limit the appeal.
