UPDATED: MAR 31, 2009 8oz pour at Green Dragon in Portland is cloudy but bright and soft golden orange with a finely bubbled, creamy but short white head. Intense nose of citric acid, pineapple, lemons, lime, mango, oranges, everything. It smells acidic and intensely bitter, and to test this theory I drink this beer, and believe it or not it’s acidic and intensely bitter. Hugely pungent, creamy citrus hop cones. Big and bold but not stupidly corrosive and unpalatable. Very nice overall, a definite hop bomb.

Another great brew from Double Mtn. Alcohol/ floral notes create an intense almost overwhelming richness. YUM!

Draft at Brouwer’s Hopfest. Heavy golden, clean pour, soapy head. Nose is apple/pear fruity and hop fresh. Champagne yeast, bright. Apple cider, cinnamon. Rond carbonation, could be more. A bit tart, crisp greens. some weed funk. Medium bodied but builds on you. Def cider and champagne

On tap. Pours hazy yellow/orange. Smells beautiful and fresh. Taste isn’t over the top IPA, but nicely balanced with the ABV. Really good beer.

I can’t believe I hadn’t rated this! Darkish orange, big fluffy head. Huge hop aroma nearly overpowers, slightly sweet flavor with huge citrus and floral hops. Finish is long and hoppy. When this comes out I run around Portland drinking it where ever it goes on tap.

Draught at Henry’s. Malty and some pine but not an intense IPA (at least not at that point of night). Bitter hops. Tasty.

2010-07-01. Very lightly hazy orange body, creamy white head and great lace. Modest citrus aroma is quite pleasant, oranges, leafy touches, hints at cat pee - citra hops maybe? Flavour is similar, pleasant citrus, modest bitterness throughout, bitterness and citrus linger long into the finish and aftertaste. Alcohol is quite mild considering how strong it is. Smooth average palate. Exceptionally drinkable. On tap at Uber Tavern, Seattle

[3082-20100702] Tap. Citrus hops aroma has mild evergreen resin notes. Slightly hazy, medium orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head and some lacing. Bitter orange hops flavour has a little sweet navel orange with a long citrus hops aftertaste. Medium body. Very good citrus throughout.

Draft at Beer Authority. Pours a hazed dark golden with a gray tint to it and small but tight creamy white head. Nose is very much on the sweet and fruity side. Pineapple, candied grapefruit, lots of underlying tropical fruit. Light pine resin with crystal malt very faint. Mouth feel is slightly chewy feeling and carb is livelier than the appearence suggests. Flavor is much more balanced than the nose. It is very citrus and tropical fruit forward but the piney hop resin shows through more than the nose and the malt is present. This pushes the upper limit of my crystal threshold in my iipa, but doesn’t cross it. Enjoyable stuff.
