4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured on tap @ Uber in Seattle.
Itís a turbid toasted grain color with some fine white foam atop. Looks thick. Nose is strait up rainier cherries, bubble gum, straw and a hint of lacto character. Expecting this one to be limited tart and a bit too sweet - although I love Rainier cherries so that wouldnít be an issue. I stand correct, the beer is nicely tart with a good pepper punch to it and slight heat from the alcohol. I like how the rainier remains distinguished in the flavors alongside a nice lactic sourness. The beer is full bodied for the style with a lower carbonation, off dry and refreshing. A really nice beer Iím glad I have had the chance to give it a go. Gotta be careful with a 9% ABV packed in there.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewery in Hood River. Tart, fruity assault on the nose. Hazy greenish-yellow color. Initial is earthy and sour fruit -- donít get any cherry, per se / mid had sweet & sour fruitiness / final ia fairly pleasant, as the fruit notes accumulate. Thin-medium body. Very tart stuff. The flavors have certainy developed (except for the cherries) -- but the tru character has not.

Doesnít look like much, a slight sour body with a slight Rainier taste but not a great sour overall.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled on tap at PIB, pours a cloudy yellow with an orange tint and a small white head. Aroma of lightly sour fruits, and fuzzy stone fruits (like peach). Flavour of light fruits, vanilla, lots of tartness, though not as much as the Devilís Kriek - just enough sweetness to balanced. Decent, but not as complex or enjoyable as DK.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at SIBF. Hazed yellow, white head. Crisp sour nose, big sour coming off this. Puckering sweet, medium body. Yeasty, wild. Very tasty, but not top.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at SIBF 2012. Golden pour, with very little head. Cherries on the nose, with some barnyard funk. Itís a bit dusty, but very juicy. Nice brew, if a bit "wet" -- this is much like one of New Belgiumís sours.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Palest kriek ever. Hazy yellow. Super hazy. Smooth and refined on the nose with a light, golden cherry note. In the mouth it is tart as all hell with a dense, creamy carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft @ Double Mountain. Pours an unclear yellow/blonde with a touch of ruby with minimal head. Aroma is lactic acid with some cherry and sour white grapes. Taste is a mix of white wine and big tart cherries with some light booze notes. Dry finish. Lots of sour cherry flavor with a slight malt sweetness and a touh of alcohol showing in the finish. Certainly a different take on the beer for me with the sourish white grapes adding to the profile.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very good sour. Unfortunately, itís too big for its own good and, probably because of that, thereís a light buttery note. Good sour cherries with a distinctive taste from the Rainiers. Light gold with a little head. Strong pucker. A bit of funk complexity but itís mostly just a laco sour cherry. Good beer, but it suffers from its strength, a fairly common problem for American sours.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at the brewery. Light yellow pour with a spot of white head. Tart cherries blast into the sinuses, mixed with lemon and some white grape. Very sour cherry/lemon taste with lacto and light grain. A mouth puckering delight.
