3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 batneil (40) - - APR 20, 2012
Reasonable IPA. Golden in colour, very slight carbonation. Not as hoppy as some IPAs.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blipp (3920) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - APR 5, 2012
Bottle. Pours orange with a white head. Light flowery hoppy aroma with a hint of some citric zest. The flavor is relatively well balanced, with light floral hops and a hint of malty sweetness. Not bad.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Frank (2060) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 5, 2012
Pours a perfectly clear orange color w/ a small but long lasting head of fine white bubbles. This is a pretty straight-forward IPA. The nose is a bit milder than what I like to see but nicely hoppy w/ sweet fruit notes. Flavor is bready malt, iced tea astringency and citrus. It’s on the sweet side but w/ blanced bitterness that unfortunately edges just a bit towards being metallic. I got this sixer cheap at the grocery store and frankly wasn’t expecting much but this is a good beer and I’m glad to have it available.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 cooplander (251) - Florida, USA - MAR 31, 2012
light amber color, aroma of pine/citrus hops, flavor of pine, citrus fruits, caramel, toast, slightly skunky, but very drinkable for the the price
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 PapaSkeetSkeet (588) - Corvallis, Oregon, USA - JAN 28, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2012 hazy gold-orange with thin white head, bubbly carbonation. Aroma is a slightly off, refreshing pine, bit of flower and nectar sweetness. Palate is light, fizzy. Flavor is a zesty moderate bitterness and grapefruit. Light clean sweetness. The hop flavor contribution is pretty nice, IMO, but I think there are oddball flavors due to yeast/byproducts that could be improved (or overpowered with more hops :) At first I thought it was refreshing and tasty, but as it warms up, the flaws come out and it gets a little thicker.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 greenhorn1 (587) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - JAN 21, 2012
Bottle. Not a good ipa. Lacks aroma and flavor. In fact, it tastes more like an amber. Heavy on malt with no detection of hops. Has a funky smell, similar to stale beer.
2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 bitbucket (2082) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - JAN 18, 2012
How did Genesee end up in California? Oh well. Pours clear dark gold with a thin and fading off-white head. Aroma of toffee, spice and a little pine. Medium body and carbonation. The taste is weird. Sort of like vanilla over caramel pine with some vaguely metallic stuff going on. Dry pine finish. Glad I just bought a single.

Bottle thanks to bhensonb. Poured gold with a white head and some decent lace. Aroma was caramel, pine, seafood, and spice. Flavor was caramel, citrus, and almost a rye type spice. Body was medium with low-medium carbonation.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hayduke (2531) - Eureka, California, USA - NOV 16, 2011
Joint tasting with Strykzone via Facebook Chat, Pours a clear amber with a creamy off-white head and good lacing. Nose is light, but has pine, citrus, flowers, and light fruit. All the elements of an IPA, just quite laid back. Medium body. Average mouthfeel. Flavor is caramel malts will all the hops from the aroma showing up, and the finish is lightly bitter. Nothing fancy here, but quite drinkable.
