Out of a cheap mixer pack. Wasent expecting much. All the beers from the pack were very bland and shared a similar cheap taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transfer from BA review on 6-29-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance- The beer pours a lightly hazed golden color with a small white head. The head fades rather fast leaving only a light level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma is of lightly toasted malt and a bit of citrus. Taste- The taste begins with a crisp bready flavor upfront which develops a little more creaminess toward the middle as a some caramel and corn sweetness develop in the taste. In the end a lighter bittering of the brew occurs as some flavors of a citrus hop mixed with a bit of grassiness come to the tongue. These flavors mix with the rest of the flavors that were present up to that point to produce a crisp flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel-The body of the brew was on the medium side in terms of creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that was rather average overall. Both made for a rather refreshing brew and were quite appropriate for the style. Overall – Its an OK pale ale. It has a little too much citrus on the end of the taste for me but really for the most part is rather easy drinking overall.

"Waaaaay too malt prevalent, even as an English pale. Ends up with a lot more cardboard than hops. The amber and wit are definitely better than the pale and the ipa. Blah..."

Really not a good tasting beer at all. It’s too bad, I really want to enjoy it. I’m going to have another go at their Belgian White, IPA, and Amber Ale and see if they are any better.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a slightly hazy golden orange perhaps close to yellow and almost transparent body with a two finger white foamy head that dies fairly quickly perhaps closer to a minute and leaving a fairly nice spectacular lacing. The smell had a somewhat malty and fairly bitter hoppy showing a decent bitter aromatic presence. The taste had a balanced sort of bittersweetness that is absolutely totally spectacular, sweet sort of malty aftertaste and no finish. On the palate, it sat at/about a fairly light, and somewhat sesssionable, carbonation is very smooth (holy crap, very smooth, good for Double Take). Overall, this is one of their better brews.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with very little head on it. Nose is slightly hoppy with just a hint at some floral elements, but the hops smell old. Taste is light and somewhat clean, though that is offset by the old taste of the hops. Could be so much better, but doesn’t make it.

Bottle. Pretty standard looking, smelling and tasting American ale. Light amber color, drinks with even tempo, primarily moderate malt and lightly hopped. (#5392, 12/1/2013)

Bottle. Not good, gross swill. Very bread, heavy malt, unbalance, lack any type of citrus. Blah. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Firestone pint glass From: VONS in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif. Price: $13.99 (w/ VONS card) for a variety 12-pack Purchased: Oct. 18, 2013 Consumed: Oct. 18, 2013 Misc.: N/A Poured a honey caramel rather clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki white head. Sporadic spots of foamy white lacing along the sides. Above average retention on the top on the way down. Smelled mainly citrus hops with sour lemon coming through. Initially reminded me of lemon drop candy, although not as good. Also seems to be Cascade hops. Earthy, grassy hops. Buttery as well. Tasted pretty much like the smell, which was also what I expected. That earthy, grainy, grassy hops. Buttery, lemon, honey and a bit of iced tea. Surprisingly a strong bite of alcohol. Light-to-medium body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, bitter finish. An OK pale ale. Nothing special about this beer.

Random bottle @ our tasting. Light amber pour with a white head. Nose is grassy and vegetal. Meh. Bread, some straw, cardboard, and a touch of pine. Weird citrus note. The taste is quite vegetal. Some citrus character, bread, straw, and a bit of cardboard. Light bitterness and grass.
