If aliens abduct you with the promise that there will be beer aboard the ship, you just go. This space invader is a tan copper colour with a light haze to it and a lasting, off white froth atop. A great fragrance of pine, pepper, barnyard, caramel and citrus precede flavours of nuts, pine, wood, spice and juicy tropical fruits. Finshes bitter and has a semi-oily, mid carbonated body. Beam me up, Beery!

473 ml can. Pours a clear amber with a mid-range beige head. Aromas are roasty rye malts, caramel, black licorice, earth, and some fruit. Tastes are earth, dry hoppy bitterness, leafy, and a little chalk. Medium body, sharp hop bite, medium astringent finish. Nice beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Cannette 6.1%. Couleur ambrée foncée, mousse beige. Arôme de grains et céréales. En bouche, malt, seigle, un peu de caramel, un peu de houblons, finale sèche, pas trop sucrée avec une petite amertume. Très bonne.

Pours a rich caramel brown, very cloudy but no visible sediment. Smell is grain, caramel and a bit of floral hops, and the taste is about the same. The rye makes for a nice sweet start, and there’s a good bitter finish, but there’s nothing in between to hold them up. Decent and drinkable but lacking a certain je ne sais quoi.

Can from LCBO. Pours a hazy dark amber with a slightly of white head. Sweet rye bread caramel aroma with a touch of lemon. Medium body, medium carbonation. Good balance of rye, wood, lemony citrus and a light toffee sweetness - woody bitterness to finish. Good.

Slightly better than average beer, somewhat bitter and the roasted malt. A beer to have when nothing else around. OK drinkability.

Can bought at the LCBO on Queen’s Quay in Toronto/Canada. Overall a tasty malty pale ale. Aroma of mild malt and a bit caramel. Color is hazy brown . Head off white, thick, is keeping a 3mm layer. Taste is like an American pale ale but with major malt, the rye malt is definitely there, bitter hops and finishes with a bitter malt taste. Not so spectacular, but an ok, good beer. Refreshing.

Rocky solid head, copper amber colour. Nice looking. Aroma is hoppy, piney, little roasty. Taste is a good bitter, biscuity, nice rye flavour. Feel is a little light, but good. Nice beer.

My first rye brew and what a brew it was. Poured a great dark copper, with a frothy tan head that lasted. Wicked aroma of pine, spice, barn, and smoke. The taste hits you with a big pine slap, and also tropical notes with wood, and spice. Has a big bitterness for a pale, and is a real tongue coater with its oily medium body. This was a great beer, very memorable.

Canned sample. Pale amber in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of malted rye, orange jelly, and whole wheat bread dough. Malt forward on the palate, but enough spicy rye and bitterness to achieve balance. Candied orange peel and earth are also present, along with a hint if char. Could have used more hops, but fairly decent as is.
