This one poured a deep amber colour with a creamy/foamy, off white head. Scents include citrus, spruce, bread and spice. First swig was quite creamy with a load of medium level of IBU’s. Flavours of spruce hops and a little caramel are most predominant. Finish is quite bitter with flavours of spruce lingering.

0.473 can. Clear, light brown color and a large, off-white head. Aroma of rye, bread, hints of wood, and grains. Taste is rather uneventful with grainy, bready flavors. Light to medium body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish brings in hoppy bitterness but other than that follows the main taste. OVerall a mediocre beer like many others.

Can in Toronto. Rich body, good rye-twinged malt body. Good hop character, crisp and refreshing enough over the rich, malty body. I enjoyed this.

473 ml can thanks to Reza! Sampled on August 29. 2015.
Clear deep golden to copper oxide color, small white head, some lacing. Hoppy, herbal, soap, a bit malty scent. Soap, malty, sweet, bitter taste. Dry, bitter aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Pint can pours a murky Amber/brown with a large khaki head. Mild rye aroma with caramel and toffee malts. Taste of sweet caramel and toffee with some mildly fruity hops and hop bitterness followed by a big punch of spicy rye. Interesting.

Can. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a combination of roasted malts and rye notes with a bit of bread backing. Flavor has a good amount of bread and rye notes with a touch of roasted malts underlying.

Pours a clear dark amber with a desnse off-white head. Nose is spicy with lots oft breadiness and some caramel. Light citrus note. In the mouth, it’s spicy with a little burned flavor. Astringent bitterness. Relatively dry. Medium body.

Smell of hops, grass. Copper colour, high beige head. Aroma of rye, hops, spruce. Bitter. Very flat carbon. Dry palate. Maybe lacking a bit of edge, but generally a nice rye beer.

Taste of roasted malt and hops. Small peppery taste by rye. Lack of flavors and too malty. Average beer.

Pours golden with thick white head. Aroma of piney hops (much more than expected) and an undercurrent of rye. Tastes like and APA with added rye. Smooth. Nice.
