2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a golden yellow orangish color with a nice just off white head that dissipates quickly but leaves some lace. Smell is faintly earthy and piney. Taste is grassy and piney with a small bitterness compared to most ipas. Very easy to drink though.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2012 Grainy, skunky with a bit of a rancid hop...pours a bland golden in the body with a dying white head. The nose is overly metallic and grainy and the flavor is light and skunked lightly. Overall, very boring and almost contrived as a facade for a real IPA. BLAHHH!

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
473 mL Can. Yellow-gold body with a thin foamy white head that settles to a tenacious film leaving lots of lace. Aroma of grainy-sweet malts with bread-like notes, pungent-grassy "grapefruit rind" hops. There is a sort of metallic character that imposes (with points lost) on what could otherwise be a nice balance of sweet malts and resiny "grapefruit rind" hops although the aftertaste comes through as far more pleasant. The grapefruit rind aftertaste tapering off to a hoppy-creamy finish does reconcile it to some extent. Meh... I wonít refuse it being offered.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Single can purchased from a Liquor Depot in Calgary, AB on 09/18/2012. Colour: Dark yellow/gold with minimal white head. Nose: Lots of metallic notes, then settles into a sourdough bready body. Background herbs and forest pine but not strong. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium-high bitter, medium-light sour. Well the hops were not highly present in the aroma but they come on strong immediately in the mouth and donít let up. Noble and strong salty character with some dough-like background. A fluttering of oregano in their somewhere. Light carbonation and slick mouth feel. Goodness.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can from Liquor Depot, Banff. It pours golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is dough, grainy, light toast, tinned pineapple and weak citrus. The taste is citrus pith, lots of lemon, light tangerine, salt, toasted malt, slight astringency and metal, with a bitter finish. Thin-medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A bit weak and boring.
