2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jerc (5591) - Toronto, - NOV 2, 2011
UPDATED: APR 19, 2012 2012-04-14. Crisp amber body, small white head and lace. 3+ Flavour is pleasant, mild hoppy character is mildly leafy and green, very light bitterness, muddled resin in finish with something else... odd malt character? 6+ Modest hoppy aroma, leafy green hops and light fruit, mild malt, muted caramel. 6+ Smooth average palate. IPA? Just something about the way it all comes together that I do not care for. 6/3/6/3/12 On tap at Brydens, Toronto
2011-10-30. Crisp dark golden orange body, small white head. 3+ Green tea like hops have a lightly herbaceous character to them. 5+ Mild bitterness, similar tea like hops. Average bodied palate. Not to my tastes. 5/3/5/3/11 Cask Days 2011, Toronto
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (4729) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Draft at burger bar Toronto, dark amber, nice lasting head. Odd mushroom aroma isn't overtly hoppy. Soft palate, but high gravity feel. The flavors continue the mushroom trend, which is unpleasant and disappointing. Borders on being unpleasant.

Flavor and Palate : medium bodied. Clean, frontal citrus with some dryness on walls. Some woody elements at finish. Refreshing ale.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Spab (1195) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 15, 2012
On tap at the Burger Bar. Pours a clear orange-brown with small slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt and floral/citric hops. Flavour is likewise. Below average carbonation. Not the most assertive IPA by any stretch of the imagination but decent.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 cyrenaica (799) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - APR 14, 2012
550ml draught
5.6% ABV 9as marked on menu)
I tried this beer on draught on April 13, 2012 at "C’est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent reddish gold with a thin tan head that laced well. Aroma was caramel malt, and floral hops...not a lot of citrus. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour had an acidic tinge to it to go along with some sweet caramel notes, and a weak bitter finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheJester (1265) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2012
On tap at Johnny Eh’s. Nice coppery orange, but the head is weirdly chunky. Arome is a little homebrewy. Some citrus and lots of bread. Flavour is a little thin, but nice bitterness and some citrus and floral notes. Nicely dryish. Has potential.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 lukin (257) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 25, 2012
Draught. Golden-orange, pillowy head. Aroma is citrus and some pine. Taste is reasonably well-balanced, but this one was a little non-descript.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DDQ (2) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 14, 2012 does not count
A nice IPA the way it should be. All grapefruit and citrus nose and tastes. Not perhaps the most pronounced of it’s style, but but a nice refresher and intro if you’ve only tried Keith’s.
floral, grass, citrus, bubblegum, amber, clear, sparkling, medium bitterness, light sweetness, lightly sour, medium body, fizzy, lively, bitter,
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 pootzboy (1310) - Hawgville, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2012 On Tap: Clear amber gold color...decent 2 finger white cap lasts well. Mild carbonation. Aroma is subtle - some light citrus and grassy notes over boiled cereal tones. Mouth feel is kind of weak for something calling itself an IPA, has a dilute feel to it. Flavor has some cream ale type malty sweetness with some pale ale fruity esters, hops are there but more as an unbalance bittering that seems out of place. Fast clean finish with ample bitterness.
I can’t decide if this is a session bitter or pale ale....it certainly doesn’t approximate a micro IPA IMHO. For a first effort this is a kind of let down considering the style they were attempting to interpret ( I assume this was supposed to be a UK-styled IPA)With all the competition around in the local craft market producing intense Brit styled IPAs and off the hook west coast IPAs this offering seems unremarkable. Not a bad beer, just nondescript.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20 gilvanblight (565) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 2, 2012
Draft at BlackShire Pub in London.
Slightly orange pour. Long lasting thick head. Still head a 1/4 inch head by the end of the glass. Strong hoppy citrusy scent. Mouth is full of that grapefruit tartness I now know to expect from an IPA. It’s not at all overpowering. Finishes off very clean. Even though I’m not a big fan of the style I have no problems drinking this one.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 herrbrown1974 (181) - Toronto, CANADA - FEB 24, 2012
On tap at Burger Bar on Toronto. Clear golden/amber, caramel and grassy aroma. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Grassy English hops overpower this. I’m not a fan, but even impartially, this beer has little balance and no complexity. Sorry, it’s just not very good.
