fiulijn (14552) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 21, 2013
Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Blond color, clean, with compact head. Dry, lean, with malt flavor, some hay, and some grassy hops; the bitterness is above the average; the aroma is too simple.
Not too bad.

A goldrn pils with a thin white head. In aroma, a grassy malt with light German hops, decent. In mouth, a classic Europils with grassy malt and hops, saaz, and mineral notes.

500 ml can from LCBO. Pale straw colour with a thin white head. The aroma is lightly grainy with some moderate hoppiness over the top. A touch of spicy/herbal character, but the hops are very restrained. Decent body and a fairly assertive but clean bitterness. The hops are pretty light - the beer is nice enough but could be so much better.

2014-03-04. Crisp yellow body with a nice white head. 3+ Aroma of straw and pale malt. Flavour us lightly bitter, pleasant pale malt has a lightly biscuity quality to it. Floral lightly grassy hops. Graininess to the malt comes out as it warms. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Okay. Can from the LCBO, Toronto.

Can 473 ml
Aroma: solid malt depth, fairly soft in approach. Light floral noble hop feel. Fell of meadow after rain. Very nice.
Look: poured with slight haze , golden in color. Medium plus white top with fragmental lace. Head could be denser.
Taste etc: medium bodied. Soft body with medium carbonation. Gentle with herbal leafy hop approach. Ontario has another excellent lager offering.

Can [473ml]. Pours a clear pale gold with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Mild aroma of grain, light grassy hops, light sugary sweetness and light vegetal notes -- slightly overly mild to me. Flavour follows the aroma, with grain, light grassy hops, some fruit, malt in the back and a light bitter finish. More flavourful then the aroma suggests. Average bodied. It’s OK, nothing bad about it but it’s a little dull as well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Boutip (4726) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 23, 2013
Can: Poured a clear bright yellow color pilsner with a medium pure white foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet mal notes with very timid hops presence. Taste is also dominated by lightly sweet notes with also unnoticeable hops presence. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but nothing really standing out that would make me want to go back and try this beer again.

(650ml bottle) Purchased at Hillside Liquors, Victoria. I’ve got to agree with the last guy... Seems like a typical lager. It isn’t crisp (as stated on the bottle) and the malt is somewhat corny. Other than that the head doesn’t last, there is zero carbonation and its pretty basic. I imagine if I home brewed that my first solo attempt would turn out like this. Pretty bland.

czar (4371) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 5, 2013
can. pours hazy pale straw with a nice white head, good retention and strong lacing. lightly sweet fruity malts and a bit of corn, some spiciness and bit of herbs and grass, faint citrus, hint of minerals, light pepper yeastiness. not that clean. average carbonation, light body, short but present herbal-citrusy finish with a small bite. enjoyable.
