Clear brown color with beige head that quickly fades. Aroma is malty, herbal and has some roasty notes. Medium-bodied. Taste has roasted malts, caramel and fruity/citrusy hints. Dry finish, with a very pleasant bitterness.

courtesy of Antonio Rey - hazy reddish-brown beer with a poor head retention; light metallic aroma, toasted and a bit spicy; medium-bodied, tart and fizzy, earthy and spicy; the bitterness is a bit aggressive, decently dry and malty finish - not terrible

On tap. Rich honey and cake fruit aroma, including cherry maybe some red apple skin in there too, and some wet stone I seem to associate when sniffing many English-style ales. Brite; lovely deep colour, topped with a thin but persistent off-white head. A beaut to look at. Has a fruity punch, but it is the nice long clean bitterness that stands out flavourwise for me. A very moreish brown.

Bottle. Light honey roasted nose. Lightbodied hayish malt, dry grassy and earthy hops. Light body, minerally dry. Flat herbal, doesn’t quite work. Copper, low head.

Sweet, coffee, roast and herbal aromas. Pours brown copper, with hin tan head, some persistance, some lacing. Medium body and average carbonation. Slightly oily texture. Taste is a bit roasty, caramel, liquorice and a bit hoppy after some sips .
