COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Douglas Celtic Brown is a real Scottish ale, rude as its country of origin, mysterious as the legends and as generous as the inhabitants.

Bottle. Pours a ruby-like body, with a small white head that diminishes fairly quickly, but leaves a good lacing. Not much in the aroma, expected roastiness, but thre wasn’t any. Found traces of yeast(?). Taste is moderate bitter, with a light bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation level, oily texture, medium body. Just a decent beer, wouldn’t want to have this again, I think.

Amber pour with a white head. The aroma has a lot of toffee and light grass notes. The flavor is similar with the addition of some cocoa to the toffee. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of mr_h. Rich dark brown colour, not much head. Mild caramel malt aroma. Sour toasted malt flavour. Sweet & sour aftertaste. Unbalanced, not my sort of beer.

Bottle - 330ml. Dark brown body with an average off-white creamy head. Decent malty aroma with hoppy and brown sugar notes. Its malty/hoppy taste carries brown sugar, woody, and plummy notes. Ends with a decent bittersweet finish. Not bad.
