On gravity - deep black with a short lived light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, bread, roasted malts and hints of yeast and smoke. Taste of light roasted malts, a little acidity and a little chocolate in the finish. Light minerally body and soft carbonation.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2014 - London. Pours dark brown with a creamy off-white head. The aroma is dark malts, beat-up leather, earth and cocoa. Light sweet flavor, earthy, with some bitter cocoa and cutting roast. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly drying on the finish with dried and aged dark fruits, dirt, toasted leaves. Respectable.

Black with a decent light tan covering.
Nose isliqourice, spice, aniseed, light roast and charr, dark toffee vibes.
Taste comprises dark chocolate, dark fruit rinds, plummy notes, more charr effect.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear Beer Fest 2014. Clear caramel brown coloured pour with loose cream head. Aroma is hot alcohol, solvent, ribena, berries. Flavour is composed of sweet berries, caramel and toffee malts, unrefined brown sugars. A little hint of cinamon in the finish. Palate is medium sweet, low carbonation.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear 2014. It pours darkest brown with a tiny white head. The nose is soft, roasty, chocolate, salted caramel, hot cocoa and earth. The taste is bitter-sweet, roasted malt, earthy, good bitterness, wood, tar, dried leaves, leather and cocoa with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A quaffable porter says me.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Tangy smooth dark malts. Touch of dark fruits. Light dry finish. Just another porter.

Cask (gravity) @ 29th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2012, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.
Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy to creamy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing to lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, mild malt, dark malt, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Cask from Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Served superbly (in oversize glass as always from the Dove). Black with just right amount of tan head. Soft, velvet-thick texture. Gentle infusion of roast chocolate. Slightly bitter finish. A most enjoyable pint.
