A lightly hazy golden ale with minimal white head. Its nose is kinda tartish and unveils tropical fruits notes over plasticy undertones. Very dry on the palate and heavily mineral. Certainly not very balanced, rough and bordering astringent, fruit-oriented bitter.

RIP DVA. An average golden bitter, cropped up in several places round here but failed to make a lasting impression, perhaps a victim of the vigorous micro scene in the county. The hobby-brewers can stump up casks for festivals, to be any more you need outlets that keep your beer turning over. And it helps if the beer is top hole - this was pleasant but indistinguishable from the stock output of many a local brewer.

Cask Stillage at the Assembly Rooms, Derby 12/07/2007 Fruity and slightly sour aroma. Amber coloured and fruity with some alcohol present. Bitter and strong malt finish.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Derby BF. A golden coloured beer with a malty aroma, showing hints of fruit, but not particularly pleasant. The taste is also on the fruity side but showing hints of sourness. Ok, just.
