[Cask at the Chippenham BF] Dark brown with a light fizz. Chocolate aroma. Rather thin in the mouth with a light roast, a little chocolateand some red wine. OK. c8

Cask-conditioned at the Eldon House, Bristol 15/05/10. Reddish-brown with next to no head. Light, fruity aroma, with a slightly sour edge. Easy drinking, with some berry fruit, a hint of roasted malt, and slightly bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle at home ... From a Jet garage with 300 beers !!! ... Deep red brown ... sweet roast ... very fruity very soft mouthfeel ...dandylion and burdoch ... very oddness ... little coffee ... decent malt...but just not rich enough.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2007 Bottled. Dark brown with ruby tints and a beige head. Aromas of soil, coffee granules, musty old books. Strangely sparkling for the style. Roasty Mild with an assertive coffee flavour and a hint of carp. Dank, watery and not dissilmilar to a 1978 Super Baf I had in Kulminator last August.

Cask at the Alexandra Arms, Rugby, Warwickshire 06-07-06. Poured a very dark brown with the smallest of frothy head,some woody and roasted notes which carried on through into the taste. All things considered this was quite a pleasant mild.

Cask, Leicester Beer Fest 05. Very dark brown with no head. Aromas are earthy light roast malts, quite sweet and floral. Flavours are sweet chocolate, roast malts and oats. Has some addictive saltiness. Light and tasty for its strength.

Gravity at the Birmingham Beer Festival, labelled just ’Mild’. Light brown/red/black. Ruffled ash aroma. Tart, chestnut flavour, fairly dry and ashy (again). Reasonable Mild, lacks punch.
