The Original Blend is made from freshly pressed Maine apples (thank you Ricker Hill Orchards, www.rickerhill.com) because we believe in making the best product we possibly can. We also like to support local agriculture. We use Red Delicious, Yellow Delicious, McIntosh, Cortland, and Gala apples in our cider.

Can shared by RussianDragon. Thanks man! Hazy caution light yellow body with noticeable tiny sediment flecks. Aromas of...well...apple cider. Lovely varieties of a set and tart apples, favoring the s wet side. Easy drinking, thirst quenching. Sweet and juicy with a tangy finish. Tasty.

My last drink was the cranberry version of this and it was better due to the acidity--just in case anyone is choosing between the two. This is a yeasty looking and smelling cider. It has a pretty nice apple character and acidic bite once you get beneath the yeast but that is kind of a tall order. It has a decent juicy texture and fairly low carbonation. These guys seem to wear the craft distinction on their arm and as such they seem to want to include enough yeast for a loaf of bread in each can. Were they to maybe filter this a bit, I could see it being much better.

Draft at Blind Tiger, NYC. Cloudy, unfiltered gold, small head. Yeasty honey sweet. Clean, lovely unfiltered body. Apple natural sweetness. Solid cider, interesting.

Location: 12 oz can from Bottle King - Livingston, 11/29/15

Aroma: The nose is fairly sweet, with lots of apple and not much else
Appearance: Pours a rather murky looking yellowish color without much head and with light lace
Flavor: Taste similar, sweet apple with some mild tartness and apple skin notes
Palate: Light-medium bodied, not watery, soft carbonation, clean enough on the finish
Overall Impression: Pretty one-dimensional, but not bad, especially if you like good old standard apple cider (which I do). It’s straight up sweeter apple cider in flavor. So much so, that I might try heating a can of this up and throwing in a cinnamon stick. I can barely tell the difference between this and the non-alcoholic stuff.

Draught at Charlie’s 11/21/15.
This stuff enjoys a good popularity here in Boston, not quite cult-like, but getting there. Hadn’t tried the stuff, as it usually takes some special reason to try "yet another regular old cider..." but I took a chance with the winter blend and this stuff is super cloudy, which was also intriguing, so I figured what the hell.
Cloudy, murky, completely unfiltered golden apple-colored body has no head, as one would expect.
Mushy apples, sugary and rich, in the nose, but with a natural enough quality to it. Light phenolics divulge pepper and very light allspice notes.
Sweet, in the flavor, but not syrupy or punishingly so. Quite a good richness, but with almost enough acidity to balance on the end. Some apple skin-like dryness, a bit of pepper and an ample, but not overdone carbonation that many ciders succumb to having (heavy fizziness). Thick, chewy, slick texture is unusual, but not off-putting and does help soak up some of the sweetness. I liked it, though I certainly get the comments that call it too sweet. I think it would be really, really good if they cut out some of those macs and delcious varieties. With all those, it’s a wonder the stuff is a complete cloying syrup bomb. So I give them credit for that. Definitely some sulfur qualities as well (with it listed on the label, no less). Hopefully they eventually graduate to making ciders without any chemicals.

On tap at Pro Pig. Pours very hazy/muddy orange with very low to no lacing. Aroma is of apples, pears. Taste is of sugar, pears, apples. Sweet, traditionnal™ non-tart brown apple juice. Palate: Medium body. Soft carbonation. Slightly sticky. Overall: Quite original yep. Sweet, so half a glass was plenty. Not overly easily drinkable or refreshing, but quite tasty.

Tap at stags head as realized I had no cash so had to get a flight to get minimum card balance. Light yellow pour. Nose is sweet pressed apples. Tastes of apple juice, pear, white grapes. Semi sweet. Watery and not bitter or dry enough for my taste.
