COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION A cloudy unfiltered wheat beer which pours to a golden orange color. Light tones of citrus and cream deliver a balanced flavor in every sip. Named in honor of the City of Downey’s Incorporation date of October 23, 1873.
On tap @ Downey Brewing. Clear golden, straw pour with a white head. Grainy, corny aroma. Mostly just sweet and a little bit of popcorn and bread dough. Flavor is pretty one note, too. Bread, dough, and popcorn. Creamed corn sweetness. Light grass, some straw, and a water feel and finish. Maybe a bit lemony.
