COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If asked, we add locally sourced honey to our fabulously soft, rounded porter. Hints of honey complement the chocolate, smokey and marmalade flavours that have made the regular brew so popular.

Cask @ Brewery Shades, Crawley. Very dark brown with little head. Sweet malty aroma of honey, strong coffee, slight vinegar. Initial sweet taste whacks headlong into a bitter-sour lasting through to the finish. Thinner mouthfeel than I would have liked. Still, a good porter is always welcome, even slightly unbalanced ones.

Gravity @ CPBF 2013. The pour’s brown with a small head. The nose is ash, nuts, toasted malts. Light honey. Nice sweet, earthy nose. The taste is quite jammy indeed. Plenty of red berry, honey. Some cigarette ash. A bit of vanilla and honeyed herbs. Medium body, fine carbonation. Overall, solid.
