A complex, dark brown ale combining subtle coffee and chocolate flavours with a rich, hoppy aroma.
Downton Brewery’s Chimera Dark Delight is a strong dark ale, brewed in Wiltshire. Dark roasted berry and caramel characters sink deep into fantastic roasted bitter flavours which linger long into the finish.

SilkTork (5121) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2007
Bottle conditioned from BeersOfEurope. A curious blend of caramel and stewed corn. Late smudgy hops rob this of any pretense at this being a mild ale. A cross between a stout and a premium bitter. Not that tasty, but quite drinkable.

Bottle from the rake. Alround rating: Big roasty malt, fairly yeasty and unclean, the hops are typically grassy, the sweetness off the base malt dominates over any roasty or hop bitterness.

Bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. A clear, dark amber beer with a nice, creamy, fingerthick beige head leaving lacings. Some roasted aromas and a touch of dried fruits. Sweet flavor with a malty domination. Very low on hoppy flavors. Medium to full body. Boring, but sure drinkable. 100814

bottle with ethereal. Malty, watery and utterly unexciting nose. chestnut brown, with a tan head, good lacing. Flavours of off-ish treacle, chocolate and watered down coffee, farmyardy aftertaste, hay and burnt raisins. unharmonious long and somewhat annoying aftertaste. not mine.
