Pale amber colour. Something a bit wheaty in the aroma, with a whiff of sulphur too. The palate is dry and quite clean, there is a little too much undeveloped malt in the background. The finish is not as crisp as I would for a beer in this style - juicy, but a touch flabby. Overall, reasonable. Cask (gravity), Catford Beer Festival.

First tasted this in The Three Judges, Glasgow in April 2004. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Dry dusty hops and lemon peel in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and superb lacing throughout. Pale malt base gives citric grapefruit flavours with a biscuity background. Dusty lemony hops add a dry bitter bite to the short aftertaste. Finish is on the tart bitter side with grapefruit peel evident. An ok session bitter for the summer.

Aroma is sweetish lightly honey malts with some floural hops. Taste is similar though weak, which is a bit disapointing, maybe past its best? Seems like more of a golden/blonde to me.

Cask at East Cliff Tavern, Folkestone, Kent Gold in colour, creamy fullness in mouth, nice interesting hoppy dry finish. I liked this and supped a couple of pints with ease

[Cask at GBBF 2004] A hazy orange beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet hoppy and very light. The flavor is boring with a dry slightly bitter finish.

Cask conditioned @ JDW, Soton. Aggresive piney hops. A touch thin could use some more malt body to balance.

Sigmund (3713) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - SEP 25, 2004
Cask conditioned at The Cricketers, Ipswich. This beer is brewed with organic hops and malts. Colour is golden, slightly hazy. Moderate hoppy/fruity aroma. Relatively light bodied, grapefruity hoppy bitterness from start to finish. Nice.
