A traditional India Pale Ale, brewed with a hugely increased hop rate for a strong, floral aroma, and a powerful, bitter taste. This award winning IPA is seriously drinkable, but deceptively strong…. not a beer to be taken lightly! Strong, hoppy and refreshing. Bursting with hoppy resin flavours and citrus, this is an IPA with a bite. Light enough in flavour to be refreshing for the summer, yet strong enough to be warming in the winter.

Bottle. Golden, orange appearance. Sappy, citric hopleaf aroma. Initially a little sweet and sticky. Some sappy, piney orange citric hops, bitter, off-dry finish. The only down point is there is a slight alcoholic burn at the end (didn’t really concern me that much though), but otherwise this is tasty stuff indeed. I guess this is what an English IPA should taste like. Fairly assertive

Cask @ GBBF 2005: Golden coloured. Clear. Off white head. Is herbal, hoppy, light fruity and has a light citric in the aroma. Flavour is sweet and fruity with a light hoppy touch. Alcohol is notable, but not dominating. Ends on a light bitter note. Good one.

Pale orange color, not much head. Aroma is strong sweet honeyish with flowery hops, even some molasses. Medium-bodied. Sweet with honey and cookies. In the finish good hopping which carries long in the aftertaste. 7/2/7/3/12 3.1

Bottled. Slightly hazy, pale yellow with citrussy hops in the aroma. More hops in the mouth providing a taste of grapefruit and elderflowersl, accompanied by sweet malt. An enjoyable pale ale.

Bottle, bought @ Cockney Pub, Aarhus.
Pours clear golden with a smallish frothy white head. Aroma i smalty sweet with a heavy dose of grassy hops and light toffee. Low carbonation, ratheroily. Flavour has a touch of a metallic off-flavour, quite vinious, rather sweet. Nice hoppy finish with a great dryness. Does seem a bit unbalanced, though.

Bottle. A little hazy golden colored beer, with a small off-white head. The aroma of malts, fruits like citrus and orange. After that some hops. The taste is dry with hop bitter. It has flowers and fruits like grapes, with apples. There are also some spices. The aftertaste is bitter in a pleasant way.

Cask at Bree Louise, London. Deep golden pour with no head whatsoever. Hoppy aroma. Tastes quite hoppy, malty, over ripe apples, bitter, sweet. Solid brew. Quite interesting.

Bottle conditioned, 500ml. Gold with white head. Initially a little underwhelming, a light slightly citric, lemony, but thin beer. Though on searching there were dryish hops on a sweet malty body, not an IPA to my taste, but a reasonable hoppy beer with a late alcohol kick.

Cloudy golden with a large off white head. Aroma had a fair amount of hops, pine and grapefruit. Flavor was dry and bitter with a solid amount of hops, pine and grapefruit. Finished dry and bitter.

Bottle: Golden, almost clear, visible carbonation, huge and stable rocky yellowish head; lemony and orangey hoppy nose, backed by a light yeasty fruitiness; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, relatively light bodied for a beer of 7.0%; lingering dry bitter and lemony-fruity finish with a light touch of alcohol. Good, but not great....
