COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Previously 3.9%.
A pale generously hopped session beer. Hints of sweetness, and a subtle elderflower aroma, provide a terrific balance to the hops. A real thirstquencher!

Cask conditioned @ Guide Dog, Soton. Not the best elderflower beer I’ve had. Seems to accentuate the vanilla, floral, bodily fluid smell elderflower can take on. Other than that light with mild grassy hops. Not too bad.

Nice golden ale, lots of floral hoppy aroma, good dry malty body. Nice balance, leading to a dry-sweet finish.

Cask på Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak 29 Sep 10. Gyldenbrun. Nesten fritt for skum. Karamellaroma. Smaken også karamell. Svakt syrlig ettersmak.

Live rating: Cask at Southampton Arms, London on 28th September 2010. Light equity aroma, elderflower, wild berries and both citric and grassy hops in-mouth, and a developing grassiness in a finish that refreshes and quenches. Rather sophisticated. Gentle, easy light textured mouthfeel. Enjoyable pint.

Cask, handpump at The Turf Tavern, Oxford 02.09.10 Pours lmid gold with a white head. Floral and honey on nose, but not sure that I could tell it was elderflower, regardless it’s a good tangy beer, nice zappiness to this and a could beer to try alongside the Downton Allrounder. Nicely bittersweet, pleasant beer. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask (GBBF 2010) - Golden in colour. Elderflower and hops in the aroma. Peach, elderflower and grapefruit can be detected in the taste. Not bad and fairly refreshing.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2011 Cask (gravity) - The Duke of Wellington, Norwich. Poured clear gold with a lasting, bubbly white head leaving a light, scattered lace. A zingy lemon & lime aroma. Zesty lemon, lime, sweet elderflower notes and a grassy, pithy ciric bitterness. Soft, light carbonation, light body, medium length finish.

Cask handpump at GBBF ’10. Gold with a white head. Aroma of salty butter dripped over rare steak. Quite a nice grainy malt taste with mid bitter finish. maeib and Ungstrup believe they can discern elderflower in the aroma, however in my opinion, they are terribly, terribly wrong.

28th August 2007. Light and aromatic. Distinct elderflower taste but not sweet. Hoppy and slightly bitter. Very light!

Cask@Charlies Pub, Copenhagen. Golden colour, not too much head. Aroma is stinging fruity sweetness along with nectar and sap. Flavour is very fruity and nice with some slight sweet wooden and nectary notes. Pleasant hot summersday beer.

Cask conditoned at Charlies. Fruity and floral aroma. Slightly sweet flowery flavour with a touch of hops. Still quite bland.
