Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Clear dark red brown color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, coffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Very easy to drink. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (020508)

Black color; creamy head. It has some roasted malt aroma, and yeasty dough in the beginning, some hop later. It has a reasonably smooth mouthfeel; the flavor is quite balanced in the front, but quickly gets dominated too much by the roasted malt, that is not extreme, but still too aggressive for my liking. The final has also too much roasted bitterness, and a sourish touch from it. Correctly brewed, but not in my target.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. Black with dark brown edges. Rather a lovely choccy aorma. OK, definitely a choccy porter. Rather good.

[cask at Reading beer festival] Deep, rich, sweet fruitiness, red wine, some sharpness comes through, with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Pretty darn good!

(Cask at St. Urho’s Pub on 2008-02-14) Deep brown. Nose has some weird but not unpleasant hints of cowhouse. Dry palate. Roasted malts, hop bitterness and sweetness in taste. A bit dull. Long aftertaste.

Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 2, 2008
Gravity cask at the Battersea Beer Festival, 6th Feb 2008. Dark brown in colour with a line of tan head. Smoky and cheesy notes on the aroma lead through to a rich flavour of latte coffee and roasted malt. The mouthfeel is smooth but a bit thin.

Almost opaque ruby red color, small tan head. Coffee and ash in the nose. Very roasted malty flavor. Some tar also. Thin mouthfeel, otherwise quite drinkable cask porter. Some hops in the aftertaste.
