Not a bad porter. Their best beer at the Downtown Grill. Smells of maple, coffee, and dark chocolate. It has hops in the finish. The finish lingers about for a while with hop bitterness. Lots of lace hang around the glass.

Jun 8, 2008 on tap-pours a retaining thin light brown head that laces and black color with red tint. Aroma is dark malt-cocoa/molasses. Taste is dark malt-cocoa/molasses/some coffee, secondary dry earthy hops. OK carbonation. Right on target for style, just not my taste.

Nov 1, 2007 On draught at the brewers party of the Knoxville Brewers Jam, October 2007. Pretty mediocre porter here, mildly roasty, but pretty darn plain. A litte sour and salt in the finish. meh.

Aug 8, 2007 Draft. Nearly opaque brown-black with a lasting head. Pleasant woody-caramel aroma. Initial flavors of caramel and slight cedar turn to a smooth chocolate aftertaste. Light-medium bodied and slightly dry.
