On draught at Downtown Grille, Knoxville on 8 July 2006 (as Woodruff Nut Brown Ale). Quite light coppery colour. Subtle soft malty notes with a hint of smoke. Not too much caramel (good for me). Just a hint of nuts. Easygoing and easy-drinking. Pleasant if undemanding.

This beer’s flavor was hidden amongst a bit of water. It has hints of nuttiness with slight hops in the finish. Very little lace in the glass upon finishing. Simple beer.
