On draught at Downtown Grille, Knoxville on 8 July 2006 (as Woodruff White Mule ESB). Quite pale amber colour. Smattering of earthy hops backed by light biscuity malt. Clean and very drinkable but didn’t really make much of an impression.

Stopped in after the Xmas Eve^3 at tronraner’s. Pours a clear light amber with a sustainable white head. Nose is light and fruity hops. Flavor is buttery and resiny floral hop bitterness. A little sticky and cloying on the tongue.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear gold color with a one finger white head. The aroma was bready, with a hint of citrus and maybe some spice notes. The flavor was sweet malt with an earthy finish. This beer didn’t piece together well for me.

lithy (2995) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2009
Darkish yellow with a lasting finger of whitish head that leaves nice clumpy lacing, some spicy hops and toasty malt but overall a faint aroma. Taste is sweet then grassy and peppery hops kick in and last.

This beer begins lightly and sweetly, but quickly bites and finishes with its lingering hops aftertaste.
