This bold American Pale Ale represents a reformulation of our Ace High Pale Ale; Incorporating the brewery’s 24 years of experience. It offers a strong hop aroma, generous hop flavor and medium hop bitterness. It is named after famed Napanee, Lou Paine.

On tap 3(?) oz. sampler at Downtown Joe's Restaurant & Brewery. Lightly hazy, bright amber with creamy ivory head and excellent lacing. Aroma of spice, floral hops and caramel. Taste of spice, floral hops and sweet caramel malt. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. A pleasant APA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Tap at the brewpub in Napa. Hazy orange pour with a small pure white head. Floral hops on the aroma and taste. Not bad but not terribly exciting either.

I had this at the brewpub in downtown Napa. this is a bit of a muted APA, hops and malt are present but I thought they were a bit toned down.

From a draft pour at the downtown Napa brewpub this poured a clear yellow with a small white head and light lacing. Nose of caramel malts and floral hops. Light in body and a bit thin in mouthfeel. The flavor is balanced between malts and hops with a light bitter finish. Might make a good session beer but I would like to have seen more flavor.

Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Citrus and grain aroma and taste with a light earthy bitterness.
