UPDATED: JAN 11, 2011 8.6% - very dark brown colour with a little beige foam; aroma of licorice, cinammon and cloves; full-bodied, very sweet and sticky, oily; slightly dry with a low bitterness; long spicy, chocolaty and malty finish with a touch of warming alcohol - a good winter warmer

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear dark orangey brown with a small beige head. Lovely aroma of Port and dark dried fruits with some roast. Solid body, lots of roast and dark sweet fruits, brown sugars and licorice as well. Dryish roasty finish with a subdued bitterness. 200111

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep brown to amber with a small white head. Aroma is spiced, dark roasted malty and breadish. Roasted, fruity and dark malty flavoured. Sweet and malty finish.

clear red amber, small smooth white head. spicy and smoked aroma, slightly flowery, faint hops. nice aroma. flavor is licorice, spices, sweet dark fruits.

Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear dark brown - white head. Burned, berries, ryebread, light hoppy, spicy, nutty, caramel, high malty, licorice. Nice.

[ Trade by fiulijn ]. Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark fruit, moderate yeasty, leather - wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110129]

Black color; the initial generous head reduces quickly to a thin uneven layer. Mild aroma of roasted malt, but also yeast. Good body strength; malt, caramel and a bit of roasted malt flavor; quite sweet; with some traces of yeast, moderate alcohol perception, very light liquorice. Correct bitterness, and more alcohol in the end. Pleasant but rough.

Bottled. A brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of cardemomme and other spices combined with straw and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardemomme and other spices, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks fiulijn for this.

Unclear brown of color with a small light brown head. An aroma of barley, grainy, sweets, liqurice, currant and spice. A flavor of spice, sweets, oily, liqurice and dark fruits.
