pivnizub (10023) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUN 30, 2016
Bouteille: Golden, some floaties visible, big and stable white creamy head; moderate nose of sweet pale malt, oranges, dried fruits and hints of yeast and alcohol ; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, more adstringent than soft; slightly lingering and drier finish of bitter oranges, alcohol and pale malt. Not a perfect copy of the originals from the Spanish Netherlands...

Sweet grain malts, what, yeast, light caramel. Clear gold, small, creamy, white head. Husky grains, dust, old socks, awful other flavours. This is really quite a terrible example for a Tripel, aroma is tolerable but the palate is outright horrible. Bottle from Drinks of the World, Zürich.

In my point of view, it is a nuce triple. The color is a mix between the yeast and yellow gold troubled. The foam is weak, white and thin. The first impression is good, a mix between, hop, candide sugar and malt and the alcohol. This beer is perfect with a roquefort like the "chimay blanche", reading a Zola with a nice landscape and you reach the holy happiness.

Light cloudy orange color with foam layer. Light alcoholic sweet nose. The taste is dominated by a strong alcoholic sweetness with the style typical yeasty triple characteristics. Sweet and tiny bit sticky aftertaste.

Pours dark yellow. Sweet and yeasy aromas. Medium body, fruity flavours. Very-well balanced and smooth. Love this beer. Drank Moinette Blonde after this and preferred the first.

330 ml bottle. Honey color with natural fermentation. Roasted malts with notes of caramel, vainilla and cinamond. Light yet complex taste, delitious and delicate aftertaste. A delight of beer, a nice surprise.

JorisPPattyn (9249) - Ursel, BELGIUM - SEP 18, 2015
Huge, dense off-white head, very stable over faintly veiled golden beer, finely bubbled and textbook lace. Spicy nose, some alcohol and white candi sugar; sweet malts and grains, yeast; Very sweet, toasted, alcoholic & yeast features. Head retains all the hopbitterness. Some pistachio oil in the finish. Aftertaste is roasted/bitterish and alcoholic. Alcoholheat, medium bodied, good carbonation. Delirium Tremens clone?

Nice sour hops, pine lacquer aroma. Pours golden honey with a white thick rocky lasting head. Nice Belgian tastes of alcohol, lacquer with a long sour finish. A good balanced triple.

Bottle as gift. Pours yellow with parts in it, but not cloudy in the usual sense. Quite a light Tripel in flavour, aroma and taste. Easy to drink, but not exciting in any way.
