3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled (thanks Bov!). Deep brown colour with mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, some hops and malts. Also some slight yeasty and sour hints. Flavour is mildly roasted maklts along with hops, yeast and some fruits. Rather sweet, but welldone brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Chuffed i found a nice stout in fair lausanne. Quite impressive really, doesn’t pack the largest punch flavourwise, but this is a smooth, dark and easy to enjoy beverage.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled, thanks Bov! Very dark with rich creamy head. Lightly vinous nose, but then nothing. No roastines or coffee like you’d expect in a stout, nor malt flavour or bitterness. Not really bad, but very empty.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[At Fete de la Biere 2004, Lausanne] An opaque black beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is of chocolate and coffee. The flavor is of chocolate, coffee, and roasted bread before a dry end sets in. A great flavor. The hops used in this one is Nothern Brewer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark color, brownish head, creamy but not persistent. Some roasted malt aroma, pretty strong yeast, grains, hay. Dry, rather pleasant roasted malt, but too strong yeast flavor. Palate in the line with the rest.
The only one that I save from these homebrewers.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2010 re-rate, 10/2010; courtesy of Pierre-André Priamo and the Gab’s crew - dark black beer with a long lasting dark beige foam left; nice lacework; a fair roasted aroma of coffee with notes of vanilla; a medium malt backbone, quite bitter and with a solid but subtle carbonation; moderately dry with pretty long roasted coffee notes - very pleasant and balanced
re-rate, 06/2004: black coloured with a fine head and a nice lacing, roasted chocolatey aroma, oily and light- to medium-bodied, slightly sour, dry bitter and slightly coffeeish finish (5/76/3/14)
12/2002 (5/3/5/3/10), 4.1% -dark brown colour, almost no foam, toasted, malt and coffee aroma, oily, light-bodied, neutral flavour with a dry roasted finish and a moderate bitterness
